Nope.

It means we have more money than we're letting on. And the whole one in one out thing is mostly bollocks.

Why would you expect the club to say we have loads of money ? Bound to ensure prices go up - if we get Doherty in after Hojbjerg and sell Aurier at £16m+ (ie nil spend after that lot) then we can focus available cash where we need it for last couple of signings.

Probably less flexibiity on 'one in one out' than you thought - although Doherty coming in as HG and Aurier leaving as overseas trained means we would have 2 overseas trained places which gives us more space than we've had for a couple of years.

Any other random players in those teams you have watched all last season? Or just the two we happened to sign later

I can offer you takes on Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, Ruben Nevez, Diogo Jota and for Southampton James Ward-Prowse and Danny Ings.

They're good. I would also have put Hojbjerg there. I confess I never really payed much mind to Doherty.

Oh and Rui Patricio, he's good too. Wolves are good in general.

“Good” doesn’t imply you know all about their passing strengths and what formation they would suit at Spurs though

Genuinely looks like we have made an attempt to sign Zaniolo. That makes me thing one of two things.

1- We have more funds than we are letting off and are looking at a CAM type player.
2 - Ndombele could be on the way out and we’re looking for a replacement (creative player)
My guess is 2.

Agree with Totti. Wouldn’t surprise me if we get the priority positions (Defensive mid, right back and striker) sorted first, so we don’t show our hand and aren’t quoted stupid amounts.

Then we know what we have left to go and improve areas not have urgency. Also allows us to see who is available come later in the window, in case any players become available (Grealish, Van de Beek, Rakitic).
I wouldn't be surprised if, at the latter stage of the window, we see the club pursuing some steals in the market at the 35-45million price range. No way the club would walk away from an absolute steal, even in these conditions.

Just my gut feeling though
