They are playing Shamrock Rovers in Ireland right now, 0-0 after 20 minutes.I thought we looked great.... Like prime AC Milan.
You sure it wasn't the TV cables outsideWhat were the fireworks all about?
EL Glory! We're going nowhere with him.
Shame he already has an excuse for his poor coaching, "our guys are too nice"
We'd have had to live that down for the next decade at least if Plovdiv had pulled off the unthinkable......Better than the alternative?
Oh come on, don't act like Southampton haven't been like that for every player they've sold to bigger clubs in recent years...BuT iT's JuSt SaLTy SoUTHamptN FaNS
It's a 'kill em quick' line up designed to have the game done and dusted by half time. Second half should be a snore fest.
Helps Hojbjerg, too, because all he needs to worry about is screening the backline and doesn't have to worry about whatever the fuck Winks/Sissoko are about to do.That's why we need Ndombele and Lo Celso on the pitch as much as possible.
PEH isn't a better passer, dribbler than Winks though.Hojbjerg is better all around than Winks, especially defensively, but he's not a CB turned DM Ndidi type either. He has the skillset to screen a back 4, but it didn't help he was basically by himself in the midfield for the first 60 minutes until Ndombele came on.
He's coming from a completely different system and working with all new players. We need to give him (and Doherty) a run of matches. He's been mostly fine, sometimes bad. His biggest problem is that he keeps acting like he in Hasenhuttl's system and pressing too high when he needs to be more concerned with covering space.
good to see our plan to put out a strong team, so we could be 5 up at half time and put on 5 subs paid dividends then..........
mind you, the idea that they were going to cave in and be utter garbage was nonsensical
Amazon has it I think.Never mind all that mate, where can I get my hands on this? It looks the business.
HardlyEL Glory!
Didn’t you see it?
Battered em

He's just better at tackling and pressing.
PEH and Sissoko can't play. Full stop.PEH and Sissoko can't play together
Yup. And if Mourinho persists with his low block, with Doherty & Reguilon offering the width, and Bale-Kane-Sonny up front then:If you play your two best progressive passing midfielders at the same time - you tend to play good football.
It is that simple.
In fact, now I remember - I don't even think Lo Celso played in that Bayern game.
After Grimsby and ColchesterWe'd have had to live that down for the next decade at least if Plovdiv had pulled off the unthinkable......
Let that sink in.....
