My biggest concern with dishing out abuse to Rose is that one day he ends up topping himself.

In a world where almost daily we get told the single biggest killer of all men is suicide, it's about time people learned to talk to and about people a little better. Or if there's nothing nice and respectful to say, don't.
He's a footballer, not a child molester.

On the pitch, he's been a massive part of our club's growth over the 5-6 years. He was easily one of the best LBs in Europe for nearly two years. He helped us get to a CL final. He has helped us fook Arse and Chelsea multiple times. Off field comments aside, I don't know what more we could want from a player.

I don't hate him at all, just don't think he was as good as he thinks he was/is

Solid player, part of an amazing defence at the time. But not world class for me at least.

I remember when he started he struggled to get in, there was discussion about whether he was a full back or winger, we all remember the thundercunt against the goons.

I agree with TeamSpeak that there was a period of 2 seasons ish where he was great, but that's not the measure of a great career for me.

Maybe he wasn't that good for that long...but 150 appearances including many CL appearances, including both legs of a semi, and a final...is that not a measure of a great career? What more do you want?

You aren't exempt from criticism in case you top yourself. Literally any human can top themselves at any point.

Further, Rose himself is certainly not scared of criticising anyone.

Danny is just too blunt and made comments when his position of power was diminishing.

He wanted the team to buy good players instead of shit punts. What do you think Kane means when he says he'll stay so long as the club shows ambition? He means surround me with good players like myself not shit ones or I'm out of here. He literally just says it in a more PR friendly way.

Funnily enough everyone is now delighted that we have done what Rose asked for many years ago. All Danny asked is that we did this whilst the iron was hot.

The hatred towards him is because football is tribal and removes logic from grown adults. Stop taking it all so personal. Half of you lot hold year long grudges with posters you argue with over silly shit, wonder how you would react to receiving abuse like Danny did that time he signed his contract extension.

Danny is a good guy, even does his charity anonymously (the hospital made it public afterwards) which is refreshing in 2020. Somehow the guy who tried to Furlough the staff is the good guy lol.

It's obvious Levy didn't like him after the sun interview. He told Jose to phase him out when he came in. Which Jose did. We played right backs and centre backs and a shit Davies over Rose hence the amazon doc scene.
It's telling that Levy's meeting with Rose wasn't shown. Why the secrecy? Neither party are camera shy. Reeks of not wanting any scenes where the club comes off looking badly- much like the lockdown training omissions.

It's not really warranted critisism is it, though.
He's just a footballer. He rarely didn't put in a shift when he got picked.
Compared to some one like Eriksen, how did the square route of fuck all for over a year, yet got a free pass for far too long from coaches and fans alike.

Bro in the grand scheme of things The Sun is one tiny aspect of a whole host of shit things in football/life.

We have sponsors who use sweatshops. A tax haven dwelling cunt owner. If we went through every business deal the club has ever done I am positive we could compile a long list of scandals associated with the people/businesses we've done deals with.

There's plenty of ex pros who have written for the formerly nazi endorsing daily mail.
At the end of the day it's pointless picking and choosing so long as we operate inside the framework within capitalism.

Rose probably went to whichever paper reached out, or whoever paid the most or whatever. The guy hadn't seen a hair trimmer for half a year, he clearly had a lot on his mind and felt taken advantage of. I doubt anyone in his position would give it too much thought or care about timing.
