Love these old photos, particularly the ones with the east stand. I only stood or sat on the shelf after the rebuild in the early 90's, would love to have been in there during its heyday. Nearest I got was the upper east with wooden seats!

Don't think so, as the sleeves aren't white. Shame can't see a badge, and I don't recognize any of the opposition, but I would hazard a guess at Everton?
Yeah I’d say the same but the caption did Woolwich first thing was the shirts as well. this is the caption.....

Wait until you see this photo, taken of the England team at WHL.
Not a good piece of history
Not a pleasant sight for sure, but when you read the story behind it, it only becomes really sinister with hindsight. It was seen as a gesture of respect to their hosts at the time, and although the players did not want to give the salute, it probably galvanised them to soundly beat the opposition.
The thing about history is you can't change it, the problem is if you don't learn from it!

I think it is woolwich Mrs P. They had this kit from ‘65 to ‘67.

Thanks, not an expert in their kit, obvs :)
