He'll be 34 by then... Getting for the short-term in Jan has appeal but beyond that, there's gotta be smarter options.

100% he's a world class player. So long as he's surrounded by the right profile of players like at Juve and in France. He was also consistently utd's best player until he stopped trying. He is a twat for giving up and playing like a crappy luxury player 90% the time now but the quality is definitely still there.

It would never happen under Jose though that bridge is long burnt. Even then I don't think the wages we could offer would suffice. Pretty sure he's nearer half a mil a week.

Yes, I think we need more in midfield/attack than in defence. We've figured out a system that works for us defensively. Between Dier/Toby/Rodon we can make it work. It's not a very high intensity style of play.

Breaking down deeper defences like Palace/Burnley/Wolves etc. consistently and reliably is a must.
 
Not sold on Skriniar, not been that impressed when I've seen him play.
Would love sabitzer to join in January or the summer but probably means we need to move on sissoko.
