Match Crystal Palace v. Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday, December 13, 2:15 PM GMT

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We didn't pass it properly today.

Let the crowd rattle us.

That disrupted our usual calm.
All 2000 of them... fuck me... gawd help us when the vaccine kicks in, and we have to face 25,000+ fans!
Keepers always have worldies against us, imagine my shock.
Awww, i've missed that feeling the non-entity nobody GK suddenly deciding he's International/World class when we come to town... to be fair, it's been a while!

No one to blame but ourselves today. You don't sit on a 1-0 lead .. you just feed them confidence and ultimately get what you deserve.

We created so many chances when we attacked, there was just no reason not to try and kill them off.

It’s not the end of the world, because a draw against a good Palace team after three big results happens.

But I have to say, I think the approach and team selection was very wrong today and I was really worried seeing Jose pick a basically unchanged team. It’s a classic trap game in that we’re coming off three good and hard won results with two much bigger fixtures later in the week.

We would have been much better off giving some of our performing squad players a trot out today so they could bring some intensity and energy into the side. Sissoko and Bergwijn have been excellent the last three matches, but wouldn’t you want to save their graft for the two tougher games later in the week and maybe give Lo Celso, Lucas, or even Vinicius a run out to be a bit more enterprising. I think it would have been a great game for Rodon considering his aerial prowess against Benteke.

I thought we looked tired and a little bit lacking in focus after the first half an hour, which is totally understandable after the run of fixtures we’ve had. But now what do you do? Trot the same team out at Anfield and against Leicester? I worry about the energy levels now.

If you don’t trust your squad during the Christmas period, you’re not going to come away with the number of points you want. It’s that simple.

Anyway, the result isn’t the worst thing but I think it was very predictable and avoidable which is very frustrating and I don’t feel great about the next two considering the way some of our stalwarts looked a bit drained. Interesting challenge for Jose.

Go fuck yourself

You don't speak for anyone
Apart from the 7 people that already agreed me and my post is less than 5 minutes old you mean?

:mourhandlaugh:

Look, we get it, you've had an agenda against Mourinho since he took charge, you've had to sit on your dick for months and now you can finally air your narrative, if that's what brings you joy go for it.

But for the record you look like a joker to everyone else.

trouble is Palace will revert back to being crap against our rivals
Not sure thats true they will periodically chuck spanners in the works for a few big clubs. If you told me the results would pan out with draws at Palace and Chelsea are two poorest results of this run id have gleefully taken it. Now a few hammies twanged for Mane and Salah and we cooking with gas. Have faith boys we aren’t winning the league this weekend and no one is....

When you spend all day, every day in training focusing on how to master the low block. You forget to practice good first touch, good passing pattern, good hold up play etc.

Regui was a good example, he just no idea what to do with the ball.

Oh please. Reguilon was just shit. He had a shit match. It happens. He wasn’t shit because all they practice is the low block, did you see how high he was in the first half? The opposite of a low block.

The players still need to improve a lot and understand that you can protect a lead while still playing football. They resort to just kicking the ball away in a panic too quickly, this is something we lapsed into towards the end under Poch as well. All we had to do in the second half was keep the ball down and pass through them a couple of times and the game would have ended.

That is how we play and I am not surprised we can't find another gear. This is the Jose way and he would have been all smiles if it were not for giving away free kicks and giving up that goal.

He would have been praising another win, another steel performance from the back.

This is my issue with the man. He will get us more than what we deserve out of a lot of games, but the Xg analysis a lot of people have been talking about will start to rear it's ugly head when we are purely a counter team and scoring worldies.

We were in control of that game and could have just kept playing football, but decided 1-0 was enough.

I love being top (until 6pm anyway) but i really cant say i enjoy watching us play. I really hoped things were changing after Southampton and Man U but West Ham seems to have driven us into our shell. I get the approach againsy City and Chelsea but we have better players than Burnley, West Brom and Palace pretty much across the park and should be bullying and dominating them. Yes 7 points from that lot but all 3 have been toss a coin to see who wins, 50/50 matches and that shouldnt be the case. Great looking at the table but something really missing for me.
I hope it's going to be a "wake up game" before playing against other weak teams. We needed it already against Everton, Newcastle and West Ham. We are still at the top. It's okay

Reguilon, Dier, NDombele, Son below their best. Can't blame them though, they've been excellent of late. Just keep tabs on the bus' hubcaps Wednesday night!

jose got it wrong today. We didnt park the bus as ppl are saying we did, we stopped attacking but did not adopt a deep compact shape and properly park the bus like we did previous games.

worst choice. Either properly park the bus or go for the kill. Not a half way house. Yes, their goalkeeper pulled off several world class saves but we got what we deserved.
Exactly this.

I said to my dad at 35 minutes into the game, we look like we have a half baked game plan. Going ahead, we weren't sure whether to sit in properly or carry on playing like we started the game.

That 2nd half would have been more bearable if we had decided on a proper game plan, even if it was to sit it like we have done last 3 games. Sissoko on a yellow didn't help that we couldn't sit in like before.

He should have subbed GLC for Sissoko much earlier and continued to play going forward.

We kept giving possession back to them and brought pressure onto ourselves.

Fully expecting Liverpool to win 150-0 now and every team will just be scared of them again and give them the 3 points and all they want to take from the game will be a shirt from one of the champions elect ! Still it was nice while it lasted being top this season!
