We're very lucky to be 1-1. We are getting badly outplayed. Bergwijn is doing fuck all. Would like to see Ndombele on for him. Play Ndombele in the middle where Lo Celso is currently playing and let Lo Celso take Bergwijn's position.

I'll take that at half time for sure.

We obviously came to give them the ball but what was a bit strange is that we didn't look nearly as composed or in control of our box and out wide as we did against City/Chelsea and Woolwich.

Maybe they've been given very specific instructions which is taking away some of their initiative and confidence. There were a couple of times where we won tight 2v2 or 2v3 duels but when the ball broke into space we didn't chase it - preferring to hold position and just allow the oncoming Pool player to recover the ball we'd just won.

Confidence grew as the half wore on though and we seem to getting on top late. Goal came at the best possible time for us and worse possible time for them.

COYS!

The quality of our defensive players are starting to show its usual flaws.
We are getting suffocated and couldnt find a way through. Thank God for Son though.
Wonder what Jose would tell them now.

I get it, it's 1-1

but this absolutely cannot be the plan. we are being destroyed, letting them have so much of the ball, their centre backs at our box! they're getting loads of shots away! it's not sustainable!
If their centrebacks start playing near our box, then one easy counter and they are fucked.

I think Davies has been decent enough while not being highly dynamic. I hate to say it though but Gio just looks to be more a a liability than anything right now. Defensively, he is almost non-existent.

Bergwijn hasn't been very good either, but I just wonder what Lucas can actually offer more.

Is this an opportunity for Dele?
