the funny thing is, even with all the doom and gloom, we win tomorrow and Liverpool win tomorrow and we're 3 points off top!

3 points off top with potentially (likely) 5 teams still in front of us and City easily making it 5 off the top when they catch up in games.

The problem that we are going to run into is that we not only need to play well but also need multiple teams to drop off rather than just one team.

I respect that fans can have different opinions, but I really struggle to understand so many on here wanting Dele to start PL games at the moment. For a long time now he has looked disinterested and lazy, constantly trying flicks and tricks that don't work 95% of the time, then making no effort when his fuck-ups lose the ball and the opposition counter. How on earth can anyone think he improves our starting eleven? Obviously he is technically better than players like Winks and Sissoko, but the modern game is about much more than that, you can't properly compete if you start with one who simply cant be bothered to graft... :/

Really hope Bergwijn is available, as he fits the system we're playing better than any of the other options we have. Failing that, the hard-working but largely ineffective Lucas, or the hard-working but ever-brittle Lamela I suppose. (For me, Bale is in a similar category to Dele - not hard-working enough any more for premier league. :( ) Would love to be proved wrong by either or both of them at some point (but they can't keep spurning chances to impress).

Lloris
Aurier Toby Dier Reguilon
Sissoko Hojbjerg
Ndombele
Bergwjin Kane Son

I don't care what the rest of the lineup is, I just want Toby and Rodon as the CB's. I'm sick of Dier being outjumped and I don't trust Sanchez.

Unleash Rodon!

sammyspurs sammyspurs I trust you can see this now we're mates again

I feel like you meant what you said in those old posts. But then like most of us got disheartened when the trophies didn't come to reward us for hard work and great football.
At which point you wanted the draught to end so badly you felt comfortable backing a manager who represents what you mostly dislike.

I sense lately you've not done a U turn, but gone full circle and come to realise yet again that ending the draught or winning trophies is irrelevant if the football on the pitch doesn't evoke positive emotions and produce memorable moments.
For me I want silverware this season.
Im willing to put up with this because I genuinely feel we are doing well in relation to everyone else around us, we haven’t lost sight of top 4 and I think we can win a domestic and even the EL.

The title is anyone’s this season but I’m not going to let myself sit here and demand great football and a title challenge.
It’s just too much expectation.

Food for thought...

But, in my opinion, it isnt going to take much for us to change those annoying draws weve had into wins. It’s not like Poch’s last season where we won one week then lost the next. We are more consistent but we need to string wins together to achieve something. Winning today is huge though because of the Fulham result.
