Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

grealish is an upgrade imo and a big one

the second bale goal shows exactly how son can let us down in them moments. the ball to bale swings outwards giving him more to do even tho the defence is beaten, if he passes it with the inside of the foot bale is one on one with the keeper, because he goes outside the foot bale then has to beat the defence again as it allows them to recover and gives them a chance to block his shot...but people just see a son assist so thats ok

I think your brain needs an upgrade first.

People laugh at me about selling son but there's way more weight behind it than people realise. How many months does he have left on his contract? What if man city or utd come calling and son decides he wants to move on. I Guarentee you levy has weighed it up already.

Cash in whilst he's hot or we've potentially got another eriksen on our hands.

He's a fantastic player but like iv said he isn't consistent in his performances or a game changer, for the amount of money (80million) that levy would probably demand.

I'd have eriksen back tomorrow over son. And play headless chicken Lamela. I'm just thinking about the good of the squad. Sacrifice one man, take the cash, sell the deadwood and go big in the summer

(all this is based on the fact that levy also spends money and doesn't just sell son to fund players from his sale alone. We need big money spent in the summer)

This is different from the crap you were spewing earlier though.

The idea of selling Son because he wants to leave or because another team is offering a massive offer is different from you saying we should sell Son because of his play.

You still try to shit on him in the post, although the idea that people are paying 80 million of r a player that is not a game changer or consistent is laughable but maybe you just are smarter and see things better than the City scouts.

And no Eriksen back now over Son is a freaking terrible idea. Much like the idea of selling Son and buying Grealish for 80 million selling Son so we can bring back Eriksen is moronic.

You are not thinking about the good of the squad because you are not thinking at all.

Just because he would sell for 80million (which is just a hypothetical number) doesn't make him an 80 million player.

His contract plays a factor. He is inconsistent. He's a luxury type player that city or utd could afford to buy.

I haven't changed anything. He's a good player but not world class, and he's in fairly good form this season. But I also remember crynaldo. Who refused to track back or would get dispossessed, lash out at the opposition because he got dispossessed and then cry when the referee told him off.

II'm not sold on him as a world class player, or a player that we need. We need money. We need creative midfielders. We need defenders. And in this current climate son is a cash cow that we can sell for more money than he is worth because it is fact that he will lose his form, without it hurting us on the pitch too much, and reinvest.

Gym n chill n Daveyboy should really get back to playing Fifa game on their computers. Or maybe it is just one with multi

Jack Grealish would be far more benifical to spurs overall play than son.

We are desperate for a creative midfielder.

I'd even try to get Grealish and eriksen back for half the price we sold him for

Are you now taking shots at Ronaldo saying he is not world class either?

its hard to follow your nonsense?

We laugh at you because it makes no sense ....

Son is 28 that means he has just on more decent contract in him ... any club buying him for 80m would have to offer him a four year deal, huge salary (say 15m a year) and accept they will get bugger all back when he's 32. That's an outlay of 140m, in this climate that's simply not going to happen, and if by some miracle it does where would we find a replacement even close to Son?

This year's goals and assists -

Bruno FernandesManchester UnitedPortugal151025
Harry KaneTottenham HotspurEngland141125

Mohamed SalahLiverpoolEgypt17320

Why would you want to sell Son?

Honestly, some of you guys are myopic in regards to how we're perceived from other players outside the team. Are we a big club? Um sure. Are we the #1 destination for the best players in the world? Um I'd fancy to say no. Sure we'd get a massive fee for Son bc of his quality and instant marketing potential from the Asian countries, but who is our biggest signing thus far, and I'm not talking dollar figures, but in terms of being a known quantity, maybe Berbatov or VDV, and definitely nobody earth shattering. If anything we have always been the feeder team to bigger clubs ie Bale, Modric, Berbatov, Kyle Walker, etc, and if we're honest we're probably closer to Dortmund than Bayern Munich, and I don't know if we even have that pedigree, which isn't a bad thing. Just saying if we sell Son, I have no confidence in the front office that we could ever find a replacement better than him. We'd just probably fuck it up like when we sold Bale.

I think most people are saying keep Son and one or two talking about selling him.

But I hate the idea that we shouldn't sell someone because we would fuck up replacing them. That isn't a good reason not to sell someone that is a reason to fix your transfer process.

I would say Ndombele was a recent signing that was fairly high profile/desired. Rumours were that many of the big boys were interested and we got him.

Understood, but Ndombele resume didn't read much before we got him, and was more based on potential. Honestly if it was up to most on this forum, he would have been gone before the season started, and hadn't reached his potential up until recently. I'm partially saying we'd fuck it up and I guess it's not even 100% Levy's fault as we're just not as big of a club to get the big names. It seems like we're always in the running for the big names, but always the bridesmaid.
