We can't complain about our atackers? They didn't score that many goals against these cheap defenders today

So when it comes to the next transfer window please tell me one attacking minded player that you would like to offload ahead of any of the 4 defensive players I have listed.....

If anyone wants to defend Jose...I will be waiting for you.

What’s that got to do with Kane?
That’s right fuck all
To some extent, I don't know what he's supposed to do in these situations. Take the second half, for example: nobody can get the ball to him in the opposition half and when they do, by some miracle, he's up against the entire defensive line. He's not the type of player who can skill his way around multiple defenders consistently, nor can he carry the ball all the way from the halfway line. Arguably, the only way he can make an impact at times is by doing one of those two things, which are the sole genuine weaknesses in his game. It's the ultimate misuse of Kane.

If you want to make use of his playmaking ability, have runners going beyond him. If you want to exploit his goalscoring, get him the ball in or around the box. Jose's weird not-quite-defending-but-definitely-not-attacking strategy is far outside of Kane's ideal skillset. He's still being used because he's so good that he frequently overcomes the tactical handicap, but he should not even be playing. He's quite obviously tired. And why wouldn't he be? Probably played more than almost anyone else in a top European league, despite being injured once already.

Anyway, he wasn't good tonight, but I'm struggling to see what he can realistically do under these circumstances. His passing in the first half was actually very solid tbf, but nobody notices your passes if the person on the end miscontrols the ball or fails to do anything with it.

The problems at this club are more than Jose deep.

They go right to the very roots of this club
Until our owners or at least levy go, we will still have the same issues. People will get their hopes up & then be shocked when we fail again. & scratch their head wondering why. Then just blame the manager... rinse & repeat
