Management What would you do if you were manager of the current squad?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Anyone who has read some of my previous posts will know I’m no fan of Mourinho’s but nobody can argue with his achievements in the game over the past 20 years.

A few months ago the team were looking awesome

Kane and Sonny thriving up top

Dier at long last looking like a rock at the back

Ndombele thriving box to box and linking the play as he did at Lyon.

Big results against the Manchester clubs

I think Mourinho has made some excellent acquisitions too in Hoijberg and Reguilon.

It’s just not working out for whatever reason not all the team are buying into his like it or not (proven winning formulas) yes it’s negative counter attacking bullshit to watch parking the bus but he has always won at all his previous clubs.

If you were manager of the club right now what would you do to improve our car crash of a season?

For me personally I’m so disappointed with Mourinho’s under usage of Steve Bergwijn and Carlos Vinicius I would play them both a lot between now and the end of the season to have a better idea in what direction we might be heading in come next season.

They are both worldies who need game time and are every inch as good as Mane/ Salah.
You could argue with his achievements over the last 11 years, ever since he left Inter Milan in 2010. Rapidly diminished returns in terms of trophies won and created absolute poison in the 3 jobs he was in at Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man U. It’s not as if we weren’t warned and many of us here predicted from the outset that it would end up like this.

he’s washed up, yesterday’s man, a dinosaur and that’s the way it’s been for over a decade.

He had a consistent run of games as starter and couldn't score. Vinicius clearly isn't good enough or he would start more.
Ok what’s your take on Lucas Moura?

For me he will always be a Spurs legend after his hat trick heroics against Ajax def got fucked over not starting the CL final over an unfit Kane

Mourinho loves him but I don’t believe he is anywhere near as good or consistent as Bergwijn could be.

If Bergwijn started games half as much as Lucas Moura he would have double the impact

You're out of your mind if you genuinely think Vinicius & Bergwijn are anywhere near the level of Mane and Salah

Lucas is better at pressing and can induce opposition into making mistakes and giving the ball away. I think Bergwijn is better at RW, but Lucas is better at CAM. Tbh neither are good enough to start.

If I was the manger of this squad I would jetison;
Davies
Dier
Winks
Doherty
Sanchez
Sissoko
Dele
Bergwign
ASAP

I would never have a back 4 with more than 1 of Davies, Doherty, Sanchez and Dier in it until they're all gone.
I would never play winks.

I'd be looking for a new keeper.
I'd make an onfield player captain.
I'd demand a proven CB. Not a child. Not a lower league pleb. A proven CB.
I'd play Vinicious more often to see if he's up to it otherwise, send him back and get some one who is.
I'd figure out which players are interested.

And you are keeping Lamela? in all these? Lol

If the behind the scenes issues are as we think they are I would not have Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Aurier and whoever else in matchday squads anymore.

Send them to train with the U23s.

Start trusting Devine, Scarlett, Laviner, John as squad options if required.

I would lineup:

Lloris
Tanganga Sanchez Toby Reguilon
PEH Ndombele
Bale GLC Son
Kane
Hart
Lavinier
Lamela
Lucas
Rodon
Devine
Scarlett
Vini
If Jose has spoken to Levy and had assurances he will be here next season and be part of the rebuilding process then he needs to start implementing it from now.

If he has not had any assurances then just hit the self destruct button who gives a fuck.

I have a friend who is a s*um fan. He messages me at every spursy event with the number of days in which we have not won a trophy. As the whistle blew for full time yesterday..on the dot '4771'
He warned me that we may win something, but we certainly won't enjoy it.
You'll have periods of fixtures filled with complete wonder and shithouse football entwining, where you feel you can't be beat...
Then it goes nuclear with the same old, same old from Mourinho and the club pays heavily for it. Figuratively, metaphorically and quite literally.

My First training session would be conducted like this to get the frustrated players highlighted. .

Berg was also given plenty of time he's played 25 games and has 0 goals or assists, and wasn't like he had 0 chances in those games. His confidence is just shot. Likely not helped be Mourinho playing his as a defensive winger admittedly
How come he is the only player that has played in that position that you claim was played as a 'defensive winger's?

Bale, Moura, and Lamela have all played in the same position and I can't remember anyone describing those players as 'defensive wingers'.

Even when Bergwijn has played on the other side, in the Son role, was he also a defensive winger?

Is it possible that the PL is tougher than the eredivisie and that the abuse Bergwijn received after the Liverpool game was very damaging?

I know we can all write a get rid of list etc and we all know that list contains

Lloris

Winks

Davies

Alli

Etc
Etc

But the end of the day they are with us until the end of this season atleast so what would you do to improve things right now and see us perform at the levels we should be
Mourinho has said multiple times that Davies is one of his favourites so I can’t see him being part of a cull.

Why on earth would we get rid of Lloris? I can't figure out if you're being a troll or not. He's made mistakes, sure, but he has also single-handedly saved us 3 points on many occasions. See the shite defence as the reason for that.

Dump Lloris, but give Vinni and Berg starting slots (because they are as good as Mane and Salah?

I really, really need some of what you are on today. PM me. I pay bitcoin.

Stop playing timid, dogshit defensive gameplans, compact the gap between defenders and forwards like we used to so under Poch.

Get that negative Mourinho football out of our system and actually try to go and score.

Those days when we used to win 5 nil 6 nil under Poch, weren’t they fucking great?

If you fail to show up, you should forget about ever playing for the club again.

If I were the manager, I would forget about the season, bin all players that have failed to show up in games, and replace them with youths and see who can be used going forward.

That might send us towards the relegation zone. Doubt Mourinho is the man for such.
