Management What would you do if you were manager of the current squad?

How come he is the only player that has played in that position that you claim was played as a 'defensive winger's?

Bale, Moura, and Lamela have all played in the same position and I can't remember anyone describing those players as 'defensive wingers'.

Even when Bergwijn has played on the other side, in the Son role, was he also a defensive winger?

Is it possible that the PL is tougher than the eredivisie and that the abuse Bergwijn received after the Liverpool game was very damaging?

Like I said mate he's had his chances despite where or how he was played. I don't think the tactics have helped any of the attacking players bar Son and Kane tbh

Then why the 'defensive winger's excuse like if his lack of performance is due to the manager and not the player himself?

I said it's not helped him, but it's not helped anyone Lamela has scored 1 goal Moura 2 I think , Berg 0 not sure on assists but from 3 attacking players that's awful. None of them are world beaters but that's still awful stats from them all.

That hints to me that the issue runs deeper then the player isnt good enough. Especially when we saw Berg last season looking a real threat.

Like I said he still has missed a few good chances and should have scored some goals and he looks devoid of confidence. But it's a combination of poor tactics putting pressure on the attackers to take every chance and him feeling that pressure and crumbling

Drop all the fuckers that don't want to put the effort in anymore and never have them around the changing room again either. Bring some youngsters that want to prove themselves.

All we have now are league games and the cup final.
A lot of the ones he doesn't trust aren't going to play any more games this season unless we have some kind of injury crisis.
How to stop them turning into a toxic influence in the club and on social media might be the main problem.

I guess Danny Rose will have some others to train with now anyway.

What about Bale? He has also played in the same position

Who knows.

Simplest answer is manage them differently.

The individuals are nowhere as bad as the so called collective.

So the issue is one of how they are managed. And to the next question of but players I would go back to saying it's how they are managed.

And nowhere yet has the solution at such a stage been, to sack the players.

Why on earth would we get rid of Lloris? I can't figure out if you're being a troll or not. He's made mistakes, sure, but he has also single-handedly saved us 3 points on many occasions. See the shite defence as the reason for that.

Dump Lloris, but give Vinni and Berg starting slots (because they are as good as Mane and Salah?

I really, really need some of what you are on today. PM me. I pay bitcoin.
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking as great a shot stopper as he is and a good servant to the club he’s had his best days and unlike most goalkeepers who tend to be at there best in the twilight of there careers his best days are miles behind him
Granted on his day he is amazing but those games are few and far between
It’s time for someone else between the sticks and definitely time to step down as captain

I have a lot of love for our keeper, so maybe it's rose-tinted specs. Not going to say I'm right or anything, but other than Pope, I haven't see anyone who is clearly better.

I love Lloris as well and think he has been one of the top players to play for the club, but he is 34 years old and we are a team that is likely, at best two seasons away from the CL. It would be crazy of us to not start looking for his replacement.

It doesn't mean he sucks, it doesn't mean we don't appreciate what he has done for the club, if fact I would say one of the reasons that he should be moved sooner is that he still has value so if we move him it can help fund the purchase of his replacement.

We may take a downgrade immediately, but we need to look at a 5 year projection and how we can best serve the club.

For me what seems to be ideal is a potential Areola-Lloris swap with PSG. I say this because it helps with the financial aspects that are a concern with Covid.

Agree Areola is class

I also think Gazzaniiga is more than an able deputy I know he’s out on loan this season but he’s never let the club down when he has played.

When we first signed him I was very critical having seen a few howlers from his days at Southampton I just couldn’t see it working out but I just thought ok cover as 3rd choice but really stepped up when Lloris got badly injured a couple of years ago
