Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I wasn’t and aren’t a big Jose fan
I just think that he needs a fair crack of the whip

Too many Poch Fanbois writing him off before he started forgetting Poch left a total shitshow!

sickening even now yearning for that serial loser to return

Can’t even manage a huge side like PSG struggling in the French League ffs
I was a huge fan of Poch, gutted when he left. But it was the right thing and I don't think you go back unless something significant happens.

But Jose is a self important cunt, who even yourself in saying he needs a fair crack of the whip, is basically saying he's a chequebook manager. I hated putting Mourinho in place, not because of his record of winning things, but because he's a cunt, who polarises fans and players and leaves a lovely shitstorm when he does depart.

I will be beyond delighted when this fucker is shown the door, then I want an ambitous manager willing to play top quality football and develop us.

Not Poch, maybe Ten Hag.

If our best recruitment is signing bargain bin players with the occassional hit or miss money splash and taking rejects on loan, and, one then looks at the recruitment of City, Liverpool, Cheslea and United, it obvious that we would struggle to assemble a squad that competes regularly for titles.

We should not just look at the quantity of the players signed but at their quality level. Excluding Ndombele, GLC, and Reguilon, I doubt any of the others gathered any significant interest from any of the top clubs. I dont even remeber us being linked to any of the top prospects that may be available this summer.
Mourinho signed Doherty

also please stop saying ‘our’ and ‘we’

you Mourinhista fool

Although I think at the time it was correct to sack poch, you can’t deny he was incredible for us

consistently getting fourth and got us to a champions league final with a much worse squad than what we have now

we played winks and Sissoko in midfield for most of that run ffs, imagine what he could have done with the squad Mourinho has now

as I said I’m not saying poch should come back, far from it, it’s done now, but he needs some recognition for what he did for us, with nowhere near the luxuries Mourinho has been afforded

Absolutely spot on here , nothing but a fact

What people didn't get about this specific quote is that Jose was not being arrogant at all - at least not this time. It was the opposite. He basically said that his players in the past were responsible for their glory together. Obviously the coach is very important, but, in the end, coaches depend on players. That's what he said. Very simple concept.

Also, it's not just media bias against Mourinho. Some Spurs fans want chaos. They want to see the club in crisis, so that Jose is fired. Yet, they are the "real fans"...

Jose is staying.

So he basically insulted all his current players and said they are shit.

You are hopeless.

'Same players, different coach'

He is saying that expectations on the players is too high. They are not good enough to play his methods.

However, as fans we are questioning his methods. Why is he allowing a team like Newcastle; on woeful form and missing their best players to have 27 attempts on our goal? If the team wasn't following his tactic; why weren't changes made and why wasn't he shouting instructions from the sidelines? He spent most of the match slumped in his chair.

Sanchez is getting a lot of the blame for the Newcastle game, but if you rematch the game, you will see that Tanganga was the clear weak link.

Gale chance in 20th minute (wonder save form Hugo). Sanchez stepped up and played 2 players offside - but Tanganga stepped back and played them back onside - then didn't attack the cross.

Newcastle first goal. Poor clearance by Tanganga. Sanchez left with the ball in dangerous position - Tanganga is ball watching and doesn't track his runner which intercepts Sanchez shanked clearance.

Around the 70th minute Tanganga misjudges a cross and Newcastle should have scored.

Newcastle 2nd goal; Tanganga is nowhere near his man and doesn't close him down quick enough which allows the cross.

Given we didn't have a RB on the bench - it was clear midway through the 2nd half that Tanganga needed help - and having sanchez covering for him left us exposed. Sissoko should have come on rather than Lamela. He could have covered the right side with Tanganga; allowing Sanchez to concentrate on defending crosses.

Lucas was having shocker and mourinho still tried to get that 3rd goal so he puts an attacking player

i am pretty sure 99% of the fanbase who understand nothing about football ( unlike you cause you understand )
will be the first to complain if mourinho put a defensive player at 2-1 with an half of hour to go

Within 18 months there was undoubtedly huge progress under Poch, we have regressed under Jose

Heat Maps

Lucas's heat map shows that he stayed central for much of the game. When Lamela came on, he played attacking right and rarely ventured back into our defensive half.

Sanchez's heat map is very revealing. He played our very wide right for much of the game - this clearly show's he was responsible for helping out Tanganga - which left Rodon to manage the center all by himself.

Son's heap map shows he played much of the game in our own half, defending on the left.

Ndombele's and Lo Celso's heat map shows they very rarely entered our defensive 3rd and spent most of the game in the opposition half.

So, in conclusion

1. Introducing Lamela caused us to be further exposed in defence.
2. Sanchez was burdened by Tanganga's positioning and was drawn out of central positions for much of the game.
3. Son was introduced to play defensively (presumably a tactical switch)
4. Ndombele and Lo Celso occupied exactly the same space. We had nobody alongside Holberg to bring the ball out of defence and defend the edge of our box.

So, .this raises the questions....

1. If we were introducing an attacking player on the right; why did we chose Lamela over Bale? Bale has scored/created in almost every game he has played.

2. When Lamela was introduced to attack; why didn't Lo Celso or Ndombele revert to a more defensive position?

3. Why did Mourinho not instruct anyone to help out Tanganga? Sissoko often doubles up with Aurier and would have been an ideal introduction to allow Sanchez to revert to a central position.

4. Why did neither Ndombele or Lo Celso play as a 'box to box' midfielder? They seemed to both be playing as a number 10.

5. Why was Son introduced to defend? Shouldn't Lo Celso have dropped back?

MY VIEW - TACTICALLY INEPT FROM MOURINHO. We lost the game in midfield with nobody bridging the gap between attack and defence. Poor substitutions compounded our issues.

Introducing Sissoko rather than Lamela would have won us the game.

I guess Larry is extremely hurt by that development. You should desist with the hurtful stuff.
I thought you asked to quit this forum after insulting a dozen other members after the Dinamo game. You were not carded or suspended because people assumed you wouldn´t be here anyway.

I don´t know who is in charge, but is it okay to repeatedly insult people here? Because, you know, this guy clearly did it.
