No, a squad is as good as the players within the squad.

A team's current form is how it is playing currently.

We have a better squad than West Ham.
They are, and have been for a long period this season, a better team than us, due to the way they are set up to get the most out of their players, as opposed to us, who have been set up the opposite. I am not sure any competent manager would have got less out of our squad this season.

But it can only be good if the players within the squad are playing well
If they’re off for whatever reason the squad is poorer as ours currently is

The players can only play to their potential if they are playing in a system that allows them to do so, and not one that minimises their strengths, and maximises their weaknesses.
We aren't, West Ham are, that is the difference.

Player for player we are on a different planet to West Ham, they have a manager who has found a system to get the most out of their players, we have one that is just about getting the bare minimum from ours.

Our squad is much better than West Ham's
Our playing 11 is much worse, purely down to how they are being asked to play.

Not on the pitch and not all down to the manager either

We’re making basic errors in defence and missing easy chances so some of our players need to have a look at themselves

They do the exact same thing we do - allow the opposition to control the game, put pressure on the defence and concede with 20 minutes to go which causes panic.

So stupid to take off Cresswell for Balbuena. Should never allow Leicester to control the centre.
