I read that headline and ruled him out but if you read the whole article that is not what he said but Sky again putting us down. He is just supporting his present job which is what Poch used to do when asked similar questions.
Rodgers obvious answer is that he is not interested ! His team is battling for a Champions League slot & an FA Cup so he has to remain committed to his team.
It would be embarrassing for him to sing a different tune in the Summer.

Thanks for your reply, and you're right Mourinho left behind a shambles and a lot of poison.
Your last point was my concern. We don't have the pulling power of Man U or the Chavs without European competition.
I think the past few years took the shine off the pulling power of the CL, for me. We couldn't recruit top drawer players after losing the CL Final. Given the way the last couple of years have gone and the fact we'll be breaking in a new manager, I think we're going to struggle to bring in in-demand players this summer.

I'm warming up to ten Hag for that reason, he's already got a relationship with some of their talent we could hopefully poach (and previously with Sanchez who maybe he could sort out).

It’s my understanding that Graham Potter is the Uncle of Harry Potter, who is widely regarded as the greatest wizard of all time.

Harry Potter has supposedly learned his incredible wizardry from said uncle, Graham Potter.

When asked last week about speculation linking him to Spurs, Rodgers said: "Tottenham is a fantastic club, it's one of the big clubs in this country, it's a huge club. My focus is purely here.
I'm at a world-class training facility, the project we're in here, we still want to develop, we still have a lot of work to do here.
"I have a great connection with the players and the board, and we have plans to keep progressing."

That is no more than I would expect him to say. Leicester are still in F A Cup & Cl places and anything else would jeopardise that. Does not mean he would turn us down.
Having said that if Gold is correct and announcement is due before end of season then that rules him out.

Even though we may not be in Europe next season we have got to look for a new Manager to last longer than Mourinho and get us into Europe the following year. I would then want someone with European experience which rules out Potter and Parker. Ted Hag does fit the requirements and I do not know a lot about other European Managers with experience. I do think we need to go back to a DOF which is just as important and for Levy to take a more back seat as Chairman.
When Bale left we made 7 signings which did not work out. We made a lot of signings last summer which again has not worked out. Whilst many are calling for wholesale changes I would prefer what money is available being used for a couple of top quality signings rather than a lot of average signings or ones for the future. We do have Skipp coming back and maybe Sess & Clarke although neither impressed me last season.
Potter has played Europa League football. He faced Woolwich in the round of 32 when he was the manager of Östersund and won at the Emirates.

Took them through all the qualifiers and took on teams like PAOK, Galatasaray and Hertha Berlin during that campaign. So he has some experience.

The longer this goes on the hope of someone like Naggelsman (obviously not coing) or Ten Hag fades and the fear of a Sarri, Howe or Southgate creeps in.

I mean, that was the summer where we recruited Tanguy who was considered one of the very best midfield prospects in Europe.

We were also very heavily linked with Bruno and he was apparently willing to come here but Levy didn't spend the cash.

Ultimately what gets players in the door is big money both to them in wages and to the other club in transfer fees. CL gets you a seat at the table but if ownership isn't willing to drop the funds, then it doesn't really matter.

Skip to 15 min for manager talk. Pretty good insight. Ally says, ten Hag and Potter are definitely drawing interest from Spurs. Parker is also drawing some interest, but reservations about him being too young. Says Martinez is likely linked because of his agent. Allegri is slight interest. Says Sarri, Glasner, Nuno aren't under consideration according to his sources.
