Management Eric Ten Hag - What's Your View ?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just out of interest what were the red flags?

Spent his entire playing and managerial career in the Netherlands. Not a particularly impressive public speaker. Very wedded to a particular system and formation, would aim to play in a way a Guardiola team would but we wouldn't have the budget to get the perfect players for such a system, hence we need a more flexible coach.

Potter won’t do shit at this football club, you think managing a bunch of clowns with big egos like Aurier or Sissoko is the same as managing Mr. Ikea from Farmville in Sweden?

It’s fucking over for this club mate. I’m in fuckin tears seriously
I’ll give Potter a chance if he does end up becoming our manager but I’m a bit pessimistic when I look at the PL table to see that they’re 15th and the best thing people have to say about his team is “Brighton have high xG but lacklustre finishing”, I’m not sure that will translate all that well into a « top tier » PL team, opponents will play you different with higher quality players.

Every bit of that is absolute cobblers.

They’re 17th

Yeah I know Brighton is 17th and even below Steve Bruce’s Newcastle and still want potter to manage us. How could you tell?

Any Manager that's still in control of their mental faculties won't want to come and work under these owners

god knows what kind of idiot we are going to end up with

So now that Ten Hag has told us to fuck off, who is next on your preferred list
I’ve had a very short list of managers who I thought were bright, upcoming tacticians who had a clear vision of their system, which I consider to be two of the most important aspects in a manager.

Marco Rose
Julian Nagelsmann
Erik ten Hag

Rose announced midseason he’s going to Dortmund and we already know what happened with the other two.

Now any manager we get I am not feeling confident. Gallardo is someone to keep an eye on, but he’s not going to be considered, having never managed in Europe. Ed Coudet from Celta is in the same boat. So I don’t know, I don’t really have a preferred choice anymore.

Potter is just a decent coach and that’s about it. I can’t see how he can inspire the players at the club when he can’t even get Brighton to overachieve.
