Good ideas and good football will always always take the club further than immediate results. I want the club to buy in a project and not try at all costs be in top 4 next year without looking for the future. That’s why I want potter. It’s a gamble? For sure. But one I feel it could take the club to a new level in 2/3 seasons. The signals are all over his career.

the only thing that I admit is not brilliant in Brighton is the results. But the rest? All top notch. Now imagine with 5 times the resources and 10 times better players.

So, we thinking it’s going to be Harry Potter then? Must say I’m a bit disappointed if it is, but I’ll support him for sure. Much rather Lord Voldermort though
Have you ever noticed just how similar the faces of Voldemort and Levy are...seriously. same bald head etc. I don't have the technical skills to post pics but I'm sure some people on here do...

Out of the French managers I would look at Galtier. His Lille team plays good football. He's decent at integrating the youth. And his contract expires at the end of the season.
Makes way more sense than most of the names we're kicking about. As does Lopetegui.

A question in both cases though is whether they'd rather have Champions League football where they are.

Given that we could still be in any of the three UEFA competitions or out of Europe entirely, it's probably tough for many potential managers to make a decision at this stage.

Galtier is already more or less confirmed to leave Lille as I understand it. They just changed owners.

Nice are courting him. But they do not have European football next season and I think we could offer better pay.

Jose to Roma! Mugs!
Also I hope @elmagnifico and all the cunt Jose fanboys are as welcomed at the Roma forums as they are here....presumably they'll have to learn Italian.

I don't see why people would be unhappy with Potter. He plays excellent attacking football and Brighton has stayed up multiple years. This isn't a club that is a guarantee to be in the top flight. Look at how many times they have booty-blasted us. They have been incredibly unlucky this year. This a top-half performance in a deep EPL this year. If we don't get ETH, Potter should definitely be the 2nd name on the list.

I think trying to take a guy like Rodgers from Leicester is lame. They have been better than us the past few years. They have won the title more recently than us. Why are we entitled to their coach?
That is why we get lambasted by the rest of football... Assuming Rodgers would want to leave CL Leicester (potentially) for us, JUST cos we're Tottenham is delusion of the highest order....

By the same token:

I assume Klopp will be looking for a fast track outta Liverpool if they DON'T make the Champions League.... I mean, why would he stay, JUST cos it's Liverpool?
If West Ham made 4th, would he go there?

Still in Ten Hag camp, although that ship has probably sailed.

Galtier is another that I like look of and mentioned him quite a while back, but also what about Luis Enrique, he may be available in few weeks time

I like Potter but I think it's quite easy to see why some wouldn't be sold on him if they just look at the standings and don't really look much deeper than that. They're currently 14th yes, but they're on 37 points and 17th spot is on 36. Last year they finished 15th.

The results have honestly not been great if you're looking at him as a candidate for one of the top jobs in the country.

To the people who watch Brighton matches though, I think it becomes a lot more obvious why he's a good candidate. They really do play very good football, he's a great coach and gets a lot out of what he has.

I think he's a very good coach and a solid candidate for us. I certainly understand why people have reservations though if the just look at the league table, but he does bring a lot more to the table than that.

Sport is more than league position. People are more concerned about clout and titles than they are about football, fun, community and so on.

It's the whole forest for the trees argument.

I don't see the club as being willing to wait for a new boss to come in after the Euros. They will want a manager that can show up in June and plan a pre-season and start looking over the squad etc.

Now Brighton are virtually safe I doubt very much Potter would even want to come to Spurs , I'm not sure the managers job here will be seen as a step up for Potter knowing full well the type of chairman we have compared to Brighton .

Levy has destroyed any good name the club ever had and Tony Bloom will fight tooth and nail to keep Potter at Brighton , if it turns into a poker game there's only 1 winner .

I think the damage caused will take years to get over and the club will have to take a chance on a unknown manager or one off the magic managerial roundabout.
You're having a laugh if you think Potter wouldn't see Spurs as a massive step up from Brighton.
