Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wonder if he might want some of our chaff? He seemed to love Moura and Lamela. Would arguably be the best thing Mourinho did for Tottenham

I couldn't wait to see him gone, and I believe if we'd done it 3 weeks earlier we'd have had MUCH better chance to somehow sneak into CL... his stint was no doubt a failure.

But at the same time I don't like oversimplifications. He did number of really positive things for us -
- He promoted Tanganga from reserves. With his less than 1,5 seasons he promoted same amount of youngsters than Poch in his 5 seasons - 1. Plus gave lot of debuts to other young folks.
- He finally let some promising youngsters to go out on loan instead of rotting on the bench - I am talking about Skipp, Sessegnon, Parrott
- He did help Kane to up his game significantly. Having him play deeper means his contribution has massively increased - no drop in scoring amount while significant increase in assists and building a game.
- Finally made decisions on some yo-yo players - helped to move on Eriksen, end all questions and uncertainty about Rose, sold KWP and saved him from lifetime on bench

But if he'd convince Roma to pay something like 50 mil for Moura and Lamela combined, it would absolutely be in this list of good deeds. No doubt :) !

Unfortunately we know he wont bring dele, sanchez and winks with him. Maybe sissoko and dier could be sent on

Not sure its an over simplification. It was a dreadful 18 months. The least enjoyable i've seen in 46 years as a fan. I've always said bringing back the loan system for our better youngsters was the 1 positive thing he did. The other things i don't agree with, Eriksen had to go as he had 6 months left on his contract. Rose had been burning bridges for 3 years. Kane always had that ability to play deeper, he had to out of neccesity as we had no creativity without Eriksen and him stubbornly not picking Bale.

The people who wanted him (Levy included)in were bewitched by his pedigree, which, lets face it, is difficult to ignore. I was able to put my dislike of the person aside purely on a business level and judge him on results.

Mourinho has always been a master of the quick fix to success and his strength's appear to focus on managing the situation rather than the man.

He comes in, produces a shopping list, gets them to play his way and it usually works in some shape or form. The success has to be fairly swift because unless he has the backing of all the more respected players in the squad he almost always ends up losing the dressing room. In another life he would probably have been a bus driver hence his prowess in parking it and an ability to throw players under it.

Sacking him early will work for (in spin) him, when charged with not winning anything he will argue he was denied the opportunity to lift a cup in a final he got us to and also point out it was still mathematically possible to qualify for the CL.

I like to think I'm not a vindictive person but since he departed I no longer feel so generally depressed about our football, it isn't nothing to write home about but I've stopped chewing the edge of the sofa, so now he's gone I wish him good luck and good riddance.

“I don’t belong in the box or in the stands or even the sofa in my own home. I belong to the game.”

He’s the boxer in his late 30s/early 40s who won’t give it up.
Absolutely he is past his prime but my point stands that he wants to work. After all he has done in the game he could retire right now and take it easy, travel, do a bit of punditry etc. But no, he wants to be out there, in the mix, his ego loves it
