Some people see Aurier gone and thinks it's good, I see Doherty steping up as our RB and would be mad even if we let Allan Hutton go for him.
Our problem is our squad is currently so full of trash we would need about a half dozen sold and the same brought in before we start to notice a difference.

I'm actually scared for next season

Sander Berge apparently has a £12m release clause due to relegation.

Wouldn't be against him as a signing. Would prefer Bissouma. Also like the lad at Fulham, Anguissa.
I'm not wild on Berge, but if I know my Levynomics then selling Sissoko (ageing and with 2 years left on his contract) and getting in Berge for a net sum of approximately zero will have him salivating.

He's young enough that after a half-successful season with us his transfer value would probably double.

If you think about it though, Waddle, Gazza, Ginola - all 3 must be right up there amongst our most skilful and exciting players, certainly in the 40 or so years that I've been a fan anyway. I'd love Saint Maximin to eventually be added to that list...

(Wonder why someone clicked 'dislike' on my earlier post without any reason given - wonder what they dislike about the idea of signing Saint Maximin? Perhaps it's simply that we've got much bigger problems to solve in other areas, which would be a fair comment I guess).

Joachim Andersen. So why now when he could have come 2 or 3 years ago ? Hitchins little black book break ?

Because 2 years ago he would have been young, helped us and had more time to grow with us. It would have been a move that involved forward thinking and future planning.

Why would we want a player like that when we can wait until they are older, more expensive and we are two years to late to fill a need.

Its much better to make transfer decision in a reaction to what you were missing rather than anticipating what you will need going forward.

Right back has been such a problem since Kyle Walker left and Poch didn’t have faith in KWP. We really need to get it right this summer. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Doherty go as well as Serge.

Personally, I wouldn’t sell Aurier. I think he’s our best RB. Has his flaws, but he’s miles better than Dogherty and I don’t think it’s the right position for Tanganga.

Unless we have a replacement of course....

Unless we are bringing in two RB’s, I would tend to agree, Doherty is older and shitter and should be first out the door of the pair of them. The problem is their respective contracts I guess. Who the fuck is going to take Doherty off our hands for anything like the money we paid?

Same goes for Sissoko/Winks scenario, Winks is more useful and HG but he’s actually got some value and will be easier to shift, no one is buying Sissoko and/or paying him what we do.

Aurier is the one person in the entire squad who I would sell. He's a liability. We're better without a right back than with him.
Even if we can't find a replacement, I say we set him free and take our chances.

Personally, I'm baffled by our choice to sell Kyle Walker Peters. Why not try to bring him back?

If Potter becomes manager his system might get the best out of Doherty. I wouldn't write him off just yet, bad first season for us but for Wolves he was highly regarded. Aurier has to go, it hasn't worked out and he has been here for a while and there is no point renewing his contract

I don’t disagree re Aurier but at least he’s capable of good games.... from time to time.

zombies like Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Lucas, Doherty etc rarely have a good one

I can’t stand Aurier but at least it’s 40/60 good game to bad. Those other dregs are 10/90
