The problem Newcastle had was they overspent and were spending with no real plan and were not developing young players to replace their first team players. Mike Ashley as much as they hate him at least balances the books and has failed to really make money at Newcastle to turn them into a good club again. They are now left with an outdated stadium and have a squad full of players with little value and further affected by Coronavirus.

Unless Geordie kids don't grow up wanting to be football players anymore; they should have an awesome academy.

This comment completely ignores the detail of what I just said on the matter.

If Harry hadn't been a dick in favour of an extra week at Disney Land; this aspect of our conversation wouldn't even be happening.

I'd happily play Serge in the interim.... We've seen him have some cracking performances against big sides....

Btw, is there a game-changing RB you have your eye on?

If there was, I may be a bit more inclined to be impatient about that possibility, but there doesn't really seem to be anyone exciting out there getting the arm-chair scouts here excited atm.
Game changing right back ... Ridle Baku from Wolfsburg.

But he did and since he talked to Neville we all knew he wanted out, plus CV has been sent back to Benfica anyway.

So you'll be ok with us keeping him for the season?

Nope but I am aware that our right backs aren't good enough which puts Nuno at an disadvantage.

They should. The problem they have is to get a good crop of kids you need to invest and raise the level of coaching in an area and improve the grass routes coaching in the are. Spurs have done this massively since I was kid where we didn’t really do anything now we have professional coaches working for Tottenham going out as far as Buckinghamshire which improves coaching in the area and helps identify young players. When I was a kid this program only had one location and it was next to The Spurs Stadium and run by an ex Spurs Player one day a week.

I'd be shocked if Kane doesn't happen. Clear thing is City not even linked with another top striker, they clearly just have their eyes on Kane and we can all read between the lines of Kanes behaviour.

It wouldn't surprise me if Martinez and Vlahovic come. The news of a replacement being to work with Kane I think is just to cool the selling club that we have money from a Kane deal. We negotiate fair prices for both strikers and once a deal is agreed you could see a quick turnaround of two in and Kane out.

Ajax manager seemed clear on wanting Bergwijn also, there's a lot still to go.

Kane has definitely caused us issues. The plan was probably not to sell him unless the right fee was reached, but him not appearing for training and City lowballing has a knock on effect to the rest of our business with new attackers. Teams will know we're desperate and have to do a Sissoko type transfer to plug a hole if Kane leaves and others know we've just had a big load of money paid in.

Yes...... But still; like I said, Kane's exit (or not) will influence who we buy and how much we spend in terms of ST1 and ST2.

(Again; stick with what I said...... I wasn't talking about Kane's desires... I spoke specifically of him pulling his Florida stunt. If he was being the model pro he's painted to be, then like I said it wouldn't be in question who starts on Sunday.)

So you'll be ok with us keeping him for the season?

I said (and made a point of underlining the phrase):

"in the interim."

Come on mate.... Don't start shit-housing.

(FWIW: I'd be fine with him staying for another year as #2 though.)

Nope but I am aware that are right backs aren't good enough which puts Nuno at an disadvantage.

.....And we still have 18 days left to sign one .....AND it looks like we will. Thus see above re: Serge.

We are going to outbid Atletico for Vlahovic, and give him a higher salary.

The only reason he goes Atletico is if he wants CL football.
But they have Suarez and Felix, so with kane gone we'd be able to better guarantee him first XI.

I can’t see us selling Kane until we know that Vlahovic and Martinez or another good striker are ours. Would be crazy if we did.
