Last minute foreign signings are more difficult to complete than ever before.

“I know of one Premier League club who has pulled out of a deal to sign a German player today, because they think there is no way they can complete the necessary procedures and paperwork in time,”

“That was with a full 36 hours still to go.

“The buying club’s options are limited at this stage in the window. Since Brexit, every foreign player - including European-based players - needs a visa to enter and work in the UK.

“But you can’t apply for a visa from inside the UK (unless you are applying to renew an existing visa). So, we’ve seen many examples where a player has had to fly into the UK to complete a medical, then leave the country again to apply for a visa.

“On transfer deadline day, it’s very unlikely all that can be done in double quick time, especially because players and their representatives will need to complete Coronavirus tests for international travel.”

Whilst this is true the rules on football Visas are quite clear, Royal for example as a full Brazil international automatically qualifies - Traore is already her - and for players under 23 it is seen as 'educational' and as far as I know none have ever been refused ... gets tricky when you sign an older average player with no international caps ... not sure we are in for any of them.

You can sign without a visa provided you are confident one is obtainable.

Jesus Christ!

World governing body Fifa conducted extensive research of transfers that took place between 2011 and 2020. (full report PDF)

More than £38bn ($48.5bn) has been spent on transfer fees worldwide over the past decade

English clubs' net transfer spend of £5.26bn ($7.23bn) was far higher than any other nation, with China £1.06bn ($1.46bn ) second on the list

A total of $3.5bn was paid to agents in fees over the decade to 2020. During that time, agent participation in deals has risen by 69.1%.

They won’t sell Adama as they’re fucked without him.
They had 58 shots in the first 3 games, all against elite teams. If Adama continues this form and their one goal scorer Raul shakes off his rust (to be expected given his injury), Wolves will be in great shape.

wolves are a feeder club who sell when GM says so .... that's how they get the players to sign for them in the first place . He has bought in replacements so I'd be more surprised if it doesn't happen ... we shall see!

Only if we can start playing 13 outfield players .... and break all the foreign player rules at the same time. But don't let the facts matter just sign everyone right?

Why would we need to play with 13 outfield players or break foreign players rules?

Other teams can have a back-up striker and creative player what makes Spurs a special case that we can’t?

Whatever - just sign everyone even when the can't be included the squad - did you even read the EPL and UEFA foreign player rules? or don't they apply to your special case back-ups?

You simply can't fix stupid .............
