I believe the only reason we've not signed him is due to not wanting him.

feel a bit sorry for him...really wanted to join us.

Either we're a complete shambles, pinging from one player to the next, or we simultaneously negotiated for multiple players at once before deciding which one to sign. Have to say, it's not the way you make a player feel wanted, is it?

If he did want to join us, and we left him hi and dry, I'd expect him to really go all out for Woolwich.

I do hope we didn't spend 2 months thinking about making an offer to see if we can come to a chance of maybe making an agreement in principle subject to more terms and conditions, only for Woolwich to do the whole deal in 2 hours

With regard to striker position, we mustn’t sign a player just for the sake of it. Scarlett can take all of the minutes that Vinicius got and it’s impossible for him to be worse. I’d rather develop him that get someone shite on loan.

The strikers worth signing weren’t doable this window.
I hate to break it to you, but he was a lonely figure against Paccos the other week. Barely had a touch for 90 minutes.
Not all his fault by any means, the whole team were terrible, but an experienced striker makes moves for the ball that he didn't. Only experience gets players doing that

Looks like it’s going to be yet another anti climax to a window.

Not moving on Aurier or Doherty is a disaster.

However what I will say is those who think Emerson is going to be a stark improvement on Aurier could be in for a very rude awakening…

I get that this "rebuild" will take more than one window (or at least that's how I'm justifying it in my mind), but to lose 3 attacking options in Bale, Vinicius and Lamela, and to only bring in Gil, it's just really odd if nothing else. I get they tried for Traore, and you have to have your targets and not be scatter gun, but they must have had other targets? Who knows.

Also, we are obviously short in central midfield, but now that Ndombele is staying, he HAS to now be reintegrated. What other realistic scenario is there? Him being banished or sulking for at least 4 months? I don't believe that. Nuno now has to reintegrate him and if, big if, he can get him playing, he is what we are missing in midfield at the moment imo. We have the player we need on the books, he just doesn't want to play 😂, ludicrous.

We'll see. Largely underwhelming window again besides shipping some players out that needed shipping, but the fact we have kept 3 clean sheets is encouraging, and we need Ndombele to start playing as he's contracted to do, and for the other attackers to start firing.

This is far too glass half full, apologies.

Also, don't get me started on this farce surrounding players going off on international duty to red list countries, utter madness.

With the club wanting him out so bad. And the way he comes across. He is like the kid who always back chats the teacher in my eyes. Or that bloke where you say to ur mate we got one here. I think him and nudombele are bad news

This is so spurious.

This is the same guy that rushed back after his brother's death so he could play vs Newcastle.

Deserves more respect than a lot of the shite that gets written about him here.

Emerson is much better than Aurier or Doherty, so not sure what you mean by that. I do agree we should have moved at least one of Aurier/Doherty on though.

Hang on. I though the don lined up five options for each position and casually picked the best, as he lay on his chaise lounge being fed grapes by Hitchen. Have I been misled?
