It’s where we are. We have Nuno or Ryan Mason, Gerrard is miles ahead in comparison.
I agree. At the very least he'd get the players respect and he seems like he wouldnt suffer fools. Potter, Rodgers, ten Hag arent coming anytime soon so its wait for Poch to get sacked or get Gerrard imo. Not convinced about either scenario but it has to be better than what we're curreny witnessing.

I know nothing about him, but I watched Hoffenheim v Wolfsburg last weekend, and the commentator said Wolfsburg are trying to become a more possession-oriented side since Glasner's departure.
Glasner's Wolfsburg had decent possession. But Van Bommel wants them to play like Ajax or PSV and dominate possession.

Glasner's Wolfsburg played some great football on their day.

Gallardo
Potter
Gerrard

In thst order

Everybody was rightfully against Gerraaaaaaarddd a few months ago. He would either be brilliant and then f off to Liverpool or crap and get sacked.
But at this stage, with us SO poor, I'd take the punt. I can't believe a player as good as he was couldn't coach a tune out of our players. He was a top player AND captain. He's not thick despite the accent (unlike some top players who have failed at coaching) and has been around some top coaches himself.

Right now, September 2021 I would take either 2 years of him doing a good job before Klopp melts and he walks or him not being that good but still better than the shit show we have now.

That is how far we as a club have fallen thanks to idiocy from Levy.

Gerrard is nothing without his assistant Michael Beale. That guy is the brains behind what Gerrard has achieved.

Fine - I always says this - we need to employ the team.

Go back to Juande Ramos - he did well with his set up at Seville because he had a good setup. Levy didn't get the setup and he therefor only got half the outcomes.

I'd take Mason back because the football we played was much better

BUT he can't play his mates.

For me we need someone who comes into this club and goes : Dier, Sanchez , Dele , Winks , Doherty , Davies etc.. None of you are good enough. None of you will be starting in the PL etc. Sadly we know Mason would play at least half of those players in his XI.

Gallardo would be an interesting prospect

Is he leaving in December?

If So maybe Nuno goes , and you just go get Gallardo . Take the opportunity.

OR.. Mason caretaker until Gallardo? Idk but would be a sensible appointment.

The problem is, we can't actually sign anyone until January.
Which means at least some of them have to play just to get 11 players on the pitch to start games.
And your namesake needs to be on the out-list

What does the * mean next to each manager's name on the list?
Are those all the managers that have already been offered the job by Levy?

Then Mason isn't the solution.

Look, I'm not defending him for his selections but that was always going to be the reasonable conclusion for him when he was interim. He had a limited number of games to manage and needed maximum points. Without a deeper knowledge of the rest of the team, an interim coach like him is going to go with the players they know and trust the most.

I don't think he comes in as an interim option again, but if he did I would imagine we would see a repeat of last time. Maybe over time as he became more comfortable with others in the team we would see some changes in the starting lineups, but that wouldn't happen for a few weeks or months.

He wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole and I wouldn’t blame him

What a bunch of morons. They don't know they're born.

It's the Vardy impact and the added expectation.

Vardy has been massive for them but time waits for nobody.

His diminishing ability to stretch teams with his pace and general play is hard to replace and with the loss of Fofana and other players not being at it, you get struggle.

If Leicester think.they can get better I would love us to be the recipients.
