So now it's a bad thing for a striker to take shots?
It doesn't matter if he takes 4000 shots unless team-mates are always in better positions to score. But with the likes of Moura and Bergwijn around him, who could ever blame him? At least nobody without an agenda couldn't.
His record is up there with the best outside of Messi and Ronaldo, despite playing for an inferior team than the likes of Lewandowski, Aguero and Salah etc.

It’s not bad for a striker to take shots. The point is that Kane scores a lot because he shoots a lot, not because he’s world class.
If Calvert Lewin shot 137 times a season he’d score more than Kane. Because he has 55% accuracy and Kane has 39%.
That doesn’t mean he’s world class, it just means he shoots more.

While kane has been shite, we didnt win the first 3 games because we played well or anything. A lot of luck was needed. A cross that went in, a penalty, and mancity missing chances. Cant survive on luck all season.

Haven't seen the stats myself but is context not important here? Where were the shots taken from, how much pressure was on the striker as he shot etc. If Lewa or Vlahovic had more shots from 6 yards out because they have more creativity around them and Harry's been firing them in from 25 yards because we haven't been creating much....that's an important distinction.
I'd say we've had a massive problem with creativity since Poch left. So much so that Harry had to drop deep under Jose and actually became our best creator. I'd like to see Lewa play under Nunoball and see how well he does.

No he wouldn't. You are hugely oversimplifying statistics. Calvert Lewin doesn't take as many shots because his shooting technique is nowhere near as good as Kane's, so he doesn't try the lower % shots. Having a higher accuracy doesn't mean you're better at striking a ball. A player who takes more ambitious shots will have lower accuracy. When you take more shots you're also obviously going to have a lower % scored.
in the 14/15 season Sergio Aguero had 148 shots on goal to score 26 goals, he also missed 16 big chances. In 16/17 this was even worse, he had 139 to score 20 goals. In 13/14 Luis Suarez had 181 shots vs Sturridge's 99, shot accuracy wise Sturridge was way ahead but nobody would argue he's a better striker of the ball .. he just took on less low % shots. In 09/10 Rooney took over 180 shots to score 26 goals, Bent scored 2 less with far less shots. Nobody is about to argue Bent would have scored 10 more if he just shot more.
Oh and a player having shots doesn't = supply is good. For that you'd wanna be looking specifically at xG/big chances created and analysing heat maps to see where the player is getting shots away from. Kane having lots of shots from the edge of the area or tight angles doesn't = he's getting good service.
