It's maddening. I think it's due to the fact that he has speed and athleticism, but no anticipation or ability to read the game, so he just relies on straight-line raw speed that leads to collisions.

They are both shit
I mean they're both fine as far as it goes, but neither is a difference maker and both are blunder-prone.
Dier is older and more experienced and seems to have a leadership role in the team Nuno probably likes that next to Romero.

Sure, but players like Dele and Winks and Davies AREN'T fine if we want to be a midtable team, worth making that distinction.
Anyway, Dier isn't a top class player, but Nuno does seem to be getting the best he has to offer out of him. Our CB pairing is the least of our problems.

I would like to see him (or Rodon) replace Davies in a back 3 even if he’s not a lefty. I’m confident Conte and staff will chose the most capable back 3 to get us firing on all cylinders.
