For the price, based on his contract situation, I think he is a clear upgrade on our other options at LCB (Rodon and Dier) and worth bringing in.
If you don’t think Conte differs from Jose you haven’t been keeping up with football the last 10 years.
A good CB and CM signing are all we need in Jan. Then wrap up Kessie and Vlahovic for the summer.

Far better recent record. Jose had been on the downturn since Madrid, we hired him after he was sacked from his last 3 clubs for poor results. Conte was only sacked by Chelsea, which was extremely harsh after he managed 5th + the FA cup in his final season after winning the league in his first year. Aside from that he was a success with Juventus, Italy and then Inter, but left them due to arguing with the board.

Top players want to play for top managers. Had we actually signed Conte when we should have done we wouldn't be in the state we are.

The problem with Mourinho isnt that he was a big name, big salary hire. It’s that he USED to be a top manager and is no longer. Conte is still a top manager.
Conte has had success recently compared to Jose who has shown that his time is gone.
Conte fights with ownership not players and doesn't make the room toxic like Jose does.
Conte takes (some) weak players and uses their strengths to get the most out of them, Jose whines that they aren't good enough and tries to run them out of the club so they are completely useless.
There isn't a whole lot similar to Jose and Conte other than they are both big personalities that demand to be the center of the club.

I want Potter or Ten Hag, love how their teams play, but what I like about Conte is his energy, fire, burning desire to win. So yeah not 100% sold on the idea but there are many positives with Conte.
He's not in AC Milan team, and did not even get into Italy's squad for the Euros.
Romero and Tangnaga is a very good combo for CB and RCB.
