You don't want him.

Will slap Levy and have fights with several players before resigning, this isn't the manager for a long term project.

I recommend Ernesto Valverde as a much better long term option

On their way to Europa League glory United beat St Etienne, Rostov, Anderlecht, Celta Vigo and Ajax. Aside from that final it was basically a conference league run, and Ajax then were all kids who wouldn't develop for a couple of years. He spent hundreds of millions and that was his big brag at the club. Jose's sacking at Chelsea was very different to Conte's too, under Jose they were in freefall and bottom half, Conte won a trophy and got 5th.

He's pretty washed up. Can still win a couple of minor trophies but he's not one of the really big managers anymore. Not exactly going well at Roma either, and after that I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Newcastle to boost their profile. No elite club touch him with a bargepole anymore.

Valid points on the opposition on their run to the final but, as we know, a trophy is this a trophy is a trophy...

You've also ignored (intentionally?!) the Carabao Cup he won in the first season.

Agree that Mou's past his best (to say the least) but let's not play fast and loose with the facts

Galatasaray/China is only a matter of time for him now

If we go for a long term project we'll probably go down and make it a very long term project

I'm not gonna give a man too much praise for being fortunate enough to get the easiest Europa League draw in history. Yeah he got them the win in it, but he broke transfer records at United, you don't get a round of applause for winning against those teams when spending that kind of money. They played shit on a stick football and edged past teams worth about 15-20 million before playing the equivalent of a youth team in a final.

And clubs like United don't care about the league cup. Jose spent 300 million pounds while manager of United, he was hired to win the league and compete at the top level in Europe. He failed on both counts, whilst Conte with about 21m net spend won the league first season at Chelsea. His only black mark was spending well second season and dropping off, but FA Cup>League cup, all day long. And 5th in the league looks a hell of a lot better than bottom half.

Yeah his football has been figured out now. There has been a lot of evolution in the game since Mourinho’s last Chelsea title and he hasn’t evolved with it.

Football tactics in a nutshell over the past 20 years is Mourinho deposing Fergie/Wenger, then Pep/Klopp deposing Mourinho.

Yep, Conte and Jose teams are very different. Both United and Spurs under Jose were passively defensive, sitting deep and relying on individual moments. His whole philosophy is wait for the other team to make mistakes whereas modern teams force errors and take risks.

Conte teams press, they aren't passive. He likes defensive solidity but he's not a coward.

It will go the same way as mourinho.

He will come in after levy promises the world .
It will sink in pretty quickly the heap of shite that he has to work with in defence and midfield .
Come jan, we might make a signing or 2 maybe one player he actually wants if he is lucky , come the summer it will dawn on conte that levy has bullshitted him , after he can’t sign anyone he wants .

Then start of the new season he will have the hump , and fuck off this time next year .

Then we will draft in Brendan Todgers or Harry Potter

Their careers are similar as long as you ignore that since the last time that Jose won anything significant Conte has won two more league titles.

2 years later is a big deal when you add in the Serie A title that Conte has won. He has shown that his style is not out of date, Jose hasn't.

Jose won a League Cup??? Who fucking cares. Conte has won a FA Cup recently. Yes the FA Cup is more impressive when it is coupled with two League titles that you want to pass off.

Where did I comment on whether either of them were successful at Chelsea? I never said anything about it?

Jose last won a league in 2014-15 Conte has won in 2016-17 and 2020-21 if you can't see the difference in that showing that one guy has shown his style works now and the other has not then not much more point in going on because you are clearly not living in reality.

Conte last won the league in 2016. Jose won it in 2014. Big whoop. Stop acting like theres a century between them 😂😂. Its 2 fucking seasons. Why are you acting like the evolution of football has changed so much in the space of those 2 seasons? See this is what happens when spurs fans get so sucked in and have to come up with crazy reasons why this guy, this guy is the one. It will end in tears. Always does.

Shit i didnt even realise but mourinho won a league cup with united too.

So in the premier league since 2014:

Conte: 1 league title, 1 FA cup
Mourinho. 1 league title, 1 europa league cup, 2 league cups

Mourinho also got a 2nd place finish with united. Shitting on the europa cup basically means shitting on spurs too. You may say the league cup is shit but that hasnt stopped man city from winning it 4 times in a row.

The only difference is conte has more recent success in the serie A. Yeah cant argue with that, mourinho was managing this shower of shit 😂 contes turn now. And the serie A isnt the PL so its a moot point really.
