I was not happy with the disengaged way Kane played under Nuno and I also believe he's gotten out of shape (to me he looks a little heavier and slow off the mark). That said I didn't expect it would be like turning on a light switch and first game under Conte he would be back at his best. His timing and conditioning are off and now it is a matter of how long it takes for him to get it back. If he is still at Spurs after the transfer window closes and doesn't look better that's a major problem that will require the absence of his presence. But right now we just don't know. Saw a little more movement today at least. I still believe there is a reasonably good chance he is a much different player by the new year's arrival.

No there's an obvious reason for this Son didn't disrespect the club and fellow pros whilst trying to force a move. He didn't not acknowledge a win over said club. He had also actually won us games this season. It would be illogical to go after him over the homegrown hero responsible for all of the above.
I'm not interested in making Kane a scapegoat because he was a dick in the summer. I judge players on a game to game basis, not whether I like them or not. Son was worse today, and was terrible against United and West Ham too. He's had one game all season (vs villa) where he's actually played genuinely well.
Pretending Kane is the root of all our attacking problems won't fix anything, they're all underperforming. Kane should be criticised for yet another shit performance, but not scapegoated, which is what is obviously happening.

Everything I’ve heard about Conte and staff is that although it’s a different system/tactics to Pochettino, the intensive training will be similar. I personally have full faith that Kane will be at his best again soon.

Criticise Kane all you want, but there's a difference between criticism and scapegoating. I'm not interested in the latter at all, and it's what you and others do in here, hence why you don't say a single thing when Son has put in multiple stinkers in a row.

That's the most frustrating thing for me and that's not actually Kane's fault. The way this squad has been allowed to become totally dependent on him as a striker is laughably inept management.
He has to spend some time on the bench now. Would of done the world of good for Southgate to not have picked him to give him the kick up the arse he needed. He's dug himself into this rut so I have no sympathy for him. If he'd of acted more professionally instead of downing tools towards the back end of last season then he probably wouldn't be in this state.
