VAR for offsides would be fine if it was the classic old "daylight" between players. Would be easy to do and see and explain. Unfortunately at the moment the rule is totally fucked and ends up being interpreted by officials differently every time, bias or not.

The VAR decisions were bollocks, sure.

But let’s not pretend we weren’t shit for the vast majority of the game too, and so many of our flaws were once again exposed.

(See post I replied to....)

If one is pissed at the ref, then be pissed at the ref. If one thinks we're shit (right or wrong) that's it's own story; the former is no justification for claiming the latter.

We weren't good today but were still hard done by two shocking decisions. Not too bothered about the result, we're still a work in progress.

Watford are proper pap though so we should smash them.

I’m a keeper and generally think keepers get clattered sometimes without a call.

However, Foster caught that all wrong. He catches it underhand which means he has to catch it lower and you risk another player knocking it out. Terrible fundamentals and he was saved by a referee guessing and a corrupt VAR.
oh yea foster has had a touch, but if doherty doesnt go into him his argument is he doesnt drop it. they are always going to be protected in them instances and its understandable, if they wasnt youd see all sorts of shit tried.

But foster doesn’t jump straight up (he’s going into doherty) and doesn’t have clear possession at any point. I don’t think foster dropped it because he never caught it. If a keeper isn’t sure if he can catch it through contact, he’s taught to punch it.

Foster fucked up but was bailed out by the ref and VAR.

What am I looking for? Some 'holds position well', 'looks to pass forward' type stuff?
Just see how many chances that Doc creates.
Watch for the disallowed goal where doc legally challenges the GK.
Watch for the gilt-edged chance he served up to Lucas.
There may be more but depends how MOTD edit the game.
If you are genuinely interested in his contribution watch the whole of the second half.
