Match Southampton Vs Tottenham - 28th Dec - 3pm KO (Live On Amazon Prime)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Except the line drawn for the Soton player was in the middle of the foot and in all likelihood the Soton player's shoulder/arm/whatever is further back than his foot is which means it should have been drawn there.

Additionally, apparently IFAB changed the rules for 2021/22 and said the bottom of the armpit is where lines should be drawn when a player is leaning like that (last year it was the end of the sleeve, but that's changed) and so Harry would have been clealry on.
Personally I think VAR has given more scope for corruption. I want to see these fuckers in the VAR box have to come out as part of their job role and explain frame by frame what they have seen in each of these contentious decisions. We got done today and it isn’t the first time.

The fact they didn't change the rules the day after the Mendes/Roy Carroll goal fiasco tells you everything...

They had to wait a year later til Frank Lampard's goal for Engurlund Vs Germany didn't count before they decided to do anything!

VAR wasn't meant for the likes of us (despite the CL quarter final..... To he fair, we DID benifit from that... But they made sure it only lasted 25 seconds into the Final! We weren't EVER gonna benefit from that long term!)

Uhhh, it's not just me and my generally intransigent nature that is not counting it. Reality is not counting it.

You don't say?

I'll point you back to my point about their rubbish backline. No more VVDs coming through that Soton door.

So "we" didn't do enough to to make it really easy for Harry? Surely you expect you WC player to take matter into his own hands and show his quality? Or is it preferable to stand in wait with excuses cocked and loaded in the event he doesn't do the exact thing for which his is paid the big bucks?

Reality isn't counting it because the referees made an error. I'm not in the habit of blaming players because a referee made a mistake. He took a wonderful touch and scored a great goal, which was then disallowed for no valid reason other than VAR teams make mistakes as well.

He's a CF who scored from the penalty spot and scored another valid goal which was unfairly written off. Is that not enough for you? Was he the problem today, really? Or was he the most threatening attacking player we had, and screwed out of a great goal by the referees?

I don't expect a player, WC or otherwise, to be able to undo bad decisions by officials. If they don't make that mistake, the typical lot don't come out to criticise Kane. Is this where we're at now, every time he doesn't score a goal from open play in a game he gets blamed?

Awesome..

Nope should have been 3-1
Why? What did you see that nobody else saw? The commentators all said we got what we deserved, we were under the cosh before the pen and never looked able to offer anything other than laboured crosses into the box after. Conte said as much and their manager also stated the same. We scored an offside and a foul on the keeper (that's the way it is when jumping with a keeper, always has been always will be, fair is irrelevant). Nobody cheated us. We never looked creative enough. Money would be on conte not picking a Midfield with winks and PEH again. Ffs skipp has offered more coming forward with the ball than those two combined.....

Today's not the time to criticize Kane. First time Kane's been our best attacker this season. He did well overall and kind of going missing in the second half despite only getting 2 days rest. He was efficient with his chances but unfortunately, one was taken away (he was onside from my view).
