My view is that we need a peak player to rotate with Son. Son is ineffective against teams that drop back and give him no space to run into. He is practically useless at receiving the ball with his back to goal. We need a strong player; good in the air with good hold up play. Kinda like we had with Llorente. When teams park the bus, have him stay in the 18 yard box and fire balls into him. Cheeky bid for Benteke?

Kidding about Benteke, but my point is; of all of our attacking players, none of them are great in the air. Lucas is great at winning knockdowns outside the box, but against CB's he is no match. This affects our ability to win long balls and attack balls in the box.
However, in saying that; Benteke did top the stats for most heading goals last season, and is top 3 for most aerial duels won this season (given his limited minutes, that's impressive).
Tooney at Brentford could be a good shout. Very good in the air.
We won’t sign a decent striker under ENIC, they cost too much so I hope we pivot and look at positions we have a chance with like a back up RB and keeper. No point if Paratici investing time and energy for players that will require a fee only for pinhead to renege. Send Don P off to the azebijan u21 league with a bag of buttons

But given
- how we have issues with HG number s
- how Norwich has already gotten relegated (not mathematically ofc, but in essence)
- how he did in previous season
- how he is not key part of the lineup this season really
- how he worked with Skipp (who should know him very well and could advise if we should try him)
- how his contract runs only until summer
Could we try to lowball Norwich to sell us Cantwell?
I am talking about 10 mil transfer fee + 90 th EUR pw salary.
Even if he comes in, does not work out and contribute, we could easily offload him for same amount in 18 months time.
I am thinking this could be a low risk deal, but in generally stronger side and with manager with clear vision, he could be decent? Or no? What do those think who have seen more of him?

I agree. If Watford go down we should be all over him. He’s the kind of player Liverpool would sign and turn him into a star.
He’s a very average player, what we need are players to improve the starting X1 not more space fillers

Their wages to turnover is huge too. They are bankrolled like moan city and Chelsea by their owners but it gets no press. They have to sell a big player every season to cover it basically.
