Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Noussair Mazroui available for a free in the summer, fantastic attacking RWB/RB with plenty of CL pedigree.

But yeah, sign Ade Akinfenwa's smaller Spanish cousin for £40million
He could turn out to be a quality RWB but many top clubs will be after him and being available for a "free" means a huge signing-on fee... The club that "greases" his agent the most will get him.
Personally, I am not so keen on contract rebels as it reflects a lack of loyalty (of course, each case is different...)

He not be playing in a three though Davis or another would be the left side of the three he'd basically be doing what he dose now. Likley Emerson would play against proactive sides Traore against bus parkers. Him yesterday and an actual attacking MF not PHE think we'd battered Watford.

I don’t think he would have added much. Watford would have given him the space like they did for Royal and he would have just pounded balls into defenders or ran out of bounds.

There would have been no defenders for him to pull out of position because Watford just conceded the space and stayed tight.

I get your point... BUT

With Emerson, they let him have space and marked everyone else. Watch any Wolves match, Adama gets double marked and fouled constantly.
There is no way they would give space like they did to Emerson to Adama, he would dribble into the box and do a short pass to striker (mayhem for opponents). But double marking Adama would open up space for Kane/ Son/ Lucas.

I think they would have given him the space and then stood there as he dribbled right into defenders in a packed space.

Going out to mark him would have been terrible as that is how he pulls defenders out. He wasn’t going to dribble past Watford 9 men in the box.

I understand your point, but if we did go for Traore I think it would be because Conte saw something in him that he thought would suit him with a bit of coaching up.

He’s unexpectedly made wingbacks out of players with a lot less talent than Traore. So I’d be willing to give Conte the benefit of the doubt on Traore, much more so than with Nuno in the summer for example.

Or because Conte realizes he can’t get what he actually wants and is adapting to Levy.

Traore doesn’t fit with the WBs he has had in the past so it seems odd he would want him now, especially when he was linked to us pre-Conte and would be coming in cheap.

I don’t think Conte adapts for anybody based on his career. I don’t know if Conte wants Traore, the links still are pretty thin. But if it does happen, it will be because Conte wants him.

People make Levy seem 12 feet tall, in reality Conte will have no fear of a football minnow who has never won anything like Levy. He’ll get what he wants or he’ll leave, within reason. Obviously he’ll know we are currently a level below where Juve and Chelsea were when he was there.

All transfers and moves going forward will be approved by Conte and if they aren’t he will tell you in the press. His history is very clear on this. He lost his shit very publicly at Chelsea when he wasn’t getting what he wanted. Also with the Inter board this past year. Conte will put Levy in his place if he needs to, there’s zero doubt.

Ideal movements this transfer window

Out:
Clarke, Doc, Lo Celso, Rodon, PEH, Golini, Winks, Berg

In:
Brozovic, Vlahovic, Griezman, Henderson, Adama, Barella, Kulusevski

Even if we get half of those done would be a massive coup
Some quick thoughts:

- Not a snowball's chance in hell that Winks is going anywhere in January given Conté has explicitly praised him in last week's press conference (and it saves us a slight headache regarding HG numbers).
-Gollini isn't even bought yet, so again is going nowhere.
-Clarke and Rodon out on loan for sure. Doherty as well unless someone actually wants to buy him.
-Bergwijn sold to Ajax would be my guess but you never know if Conté fancies keeping him around in case we don't buy a striker (he keeps subbing him on for Kane).

-Please god tell me that Griezmann and Henderson were trolling to determine if someone actually read the whole post.

Why would Henderson be trolling?

I doubt he comes here but he would be a great addition with the uncertainty around Hugo’s contract. If you could sign Hugo for another year with Henderson behind him and the taking over after that it would be about as good as we could hope for.

Ah, okay, my apologies, I thought ArcspacE ArcspacE meant Jordan Henderson.
