Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We all wanted Ndombele? I was part of a minority that questioned what was the big deal about him. I watched some videos of him and all I could see was a player strolling around and being also being fouled a lot/falling over. There were flashes of skill but the overriding impression was that this player would struggle with the pace and physicality of the PL.

Lo Celso on the other hand I thought would do well but he has been just as shockingly poor as Ndombele.

Most of it is attitude.

Ndombele: was excellent for Lyon and France and good in the CL. When he joined his fitness was appalling but his 20-30 min cameos often changed the game and allowed us to control possession with his press resistance and creative passing from deep. He is actually fitter now but since then has given up, he has done an Abamayang and basically taken his huge contract and retired with it. His heart isn’t in football and isn’t with us.

Lo Celso: was rated as one of the very best midfielders in Spain and always plays well for Argentina. When he first came he was injured but under Jose for the first few months was probably our best player, we took our option to get him and Jose was full of praise.

Talent wise these are not poor players, they are arguably our most gifted midfielders, they are just either lazy or unprofessional which is much worse than being not good enough, they could have worked to become our Dembele and Eriksen but would rather be our Ade and Abamayang.

However our scouting works we have to look at mentality that needs to be the lesson, no point having the talent of Messi if you have the work ethic of Homer Simpson.

It's not just us that spunks fortunes on shite either.

Pogba.
Werner.
Van De Beeke
Robinho.
Alexis Sanchez
Shevchenko
Torres
Veron
Etc etc

There's hundreds of players at all budgets (£5m to some clubs is £50m to others) that have failed despite all signs to the contrary.
That is true, but the difference is that in all the above examples the club just went out and bought more players. We can't afford £40m flops.

It's kinda what we've done with Gil, over 40 games in LaLiga, full International debut made, cost £25m...

Only time will tell if it works out, certainly not a star as it currently stands.

Indeed.... And 10 years of hyper inflation aside, look how many people don't have the stomach (patience) to see his signing through (See Gil thread).....

"Not gonna make it" cos he has failed to elevate a poorly performing B team in a handful of cup appearances as a 20 year old.

Heard last night from that Lars Siverson bloke (credible?) that Florentina are actually motivated to sell Vlahovic in this window as they don't want his deal falling into it's final year and eat away at his price as they feel that he is at peak value right now.......

However, he also said the player wants a high tier of club than Woolwich.... Does that amount to him wanting higher than us too?

Maybe the Conte factor will help?

I'd be surprised if we go get Vlahovic though, tbh.

And here's more bullshit from Captain Pugwash and his band of merry fuckwits

Who: dragon1
Where coys

We are looking for outside investment

club is at an impasse , joe does not want to invest , Daniel does not want to sell but penny has finally dropped that we cannot carry on in this non competitive cycle of not winning anything and the current squad is a long way off

Daniel respects fab and conte opinion and the penny has finally dropped

I do not know the finer details but there will likely be a small amount of shares Sold or some other structure so money is brought it

We are going to try and make some signings this window

Tanguy , dele , doc and rodon are all available For sale , wolves have some interest In doc

Brighton wanted 50 for lamptey so not happening , we are interested in traore and the Florentina striker

a big priority the second half of the season Is breaking John and Devine who’s currently injured into team they are the clubs future

regarding the bergwin rumors just breaking , he is also for sale , ajax wanted in summer but we wanted 30 million and they just do not have the money but if someone pays up he can go '
sounds about right tbf

joe not wanting to invest doesnt suprise me and levy being stubborn as he is

like the idea of john and devine coming in but makes me think we are not getting anyone of note

I think Fiorentina would be open to selling now if they were offered 70m. It's a lot of money. I think Woolwich are probably the only club willing to spend that for him in this window.

From his standpoint, he does actually seem to enjoy playing for Fiorentina and would like to leave the club with a spot in Europe, and finishing top scorer in Serie A. Ultimately think he wants to go to Juventus, but they'll need to shift players and wages to make that happen. You'd imagine is agent is also in his ear looking at the situation with Man City, maybe Manchester United. I'd love us to sign him, and Conte/Paratici probably gives us some chance we wouldn't have had in another year, but I imagine he'll play out the season where he is and see how the land lies come the summer window.

We need a striker in now, if we can shift Bergwijn I think we'll end up bring in somebody of the De Ketelaere profile, young, might turn out good, 20-30m.

Here's some bullshit ITK from Shit Community and Troglodyty Trix - enjoy the laughs

Who: Trix
Where: SC
When: Today

This window we are pushing for De Vrij, Traore, plus one forward Vlahaovic/Ketelaere. From an agent who has a player at the club, not my best source but has had solid info in the past. I am trying to get this confirmed
Inter are top of the league, why would de vrij leave?

What are your thoughts on David?

Seems his veraatility would earn him good gametime despite the continued presence of Kane.

Him + De Ket over the next 2 windows sounds like good squad building to me with lots of cieling.

This video absolutely hits the nail on the had of why our creativity has gone to shit.

Meanwhile alot of the noise seems to be around getting a new striker and wing backs.

That won't address any of the fundamental issues in our team, it's like putting another "go faster" stripe on your Nissan Micra
Everybody knows why our creativity is shit. It's discussed day in day out on here.
