Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

When we do roll out the 352 I think Bentancur, Skipp and PEH make a good trio.

He looks an upgrade on Winks given that he actually has a defensive presence and he has more technical quality as a deep lying playmaler. Meanwhile you get the best out of Hobby and Skippy in their high pressing role as 8s.

So if Bentancur hits all the incentives, his fee will still be a maximum of 19 million pounds.

Yeah, I’ll be having that for a 24 year old who has played 187 times for Juve and 46 caps for Uruguay.

That’s barely more than Matt Doherty money in the modern transfer market.

Meh.

You were peddling the "only Spurs" narrative.... I've just successfully debunked it.

Aaaah, so your last claim was a bust, so we're moving the goal-sposts now?

- Since 19/20 we've spent approx 300m on players...... How much has Lego-man spent in that time-frame? ....My hunch is it's virtually the same once you add in Emre's last window for parity of time-frame.

- Net investment of both clubs in the last 10 years = 15m. > Literally Same.

- We're neck and neck in terms of so-called wealth in our division too (we've been marginally ahead in the last couple of years granted).

........When's the last time they finished above us?
Ohh you’ve successfully debunked it have you? You’ve successfully debunked fuck all.
Why are you trying to you use Woolwich as an excuse excuse to defend the bullshit that goes on at Spurs? You’re actually a joke.

So you’re acknowledging that they’ve spent the same amount under one manager as we have under 3? What does that say about how they back their managers compared to us?

We need both first XI upgrades and squad upgrades.

Bentancur could be a first XI upgrade now but he is definitely a squad upgrade.

If we go again in the summer for a better CM then maybe Bentancur drops down the pecking order. Either way we need to get to a position where the likes of PEH, Bentancur and Sarr is the quality of our backups rather than Winks, Dele and the useless Ndombele/Gio.

with these two players I think we will play 343
bentancur PEH skipp will rotate in the 2-midfield
kulu son lucas for the attacking sides
bergwijn and kane as strikers
my opinion

If the deals are done, then I say welcome to Spurs, lads. And very best of luck to you both. We'll be behind you, you're family now. You fight for us, we fight for you.

Still not over the moon about the money (esp for Kulu) and still wondering how it took that long to get bodies in, to eventually bring in two from Fabio's old team, but eff it...it's done and I want to see the lads do well. And I trust Conte to make them better.

COYS!

Fair point. Good way of looking at it.
