Player Rodrigo Bentancur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dont know much about this guy at all but I hope hes a horrible little shit who likes to kick people and wind the oppo up, we need that

him and skipp for our future mid

he is not slow and clumsy like peh

a lot on here saying passing is a strong suit

1 thing i disagree on there

he always tries too hard on the pass and he does have a habit of overhitting the pass or underhitting it alot no middle ground

however i feel conte can sort that out

A lot of Juve fans and media didn't rate him and were happy to see him go. And yeah, there were many a game where he wasn't great.

But he's still young and when he did play well, he showed loads of good stuff.

Mainly, he's now gonna be managed by Conte, at a club where there's less pressure.

So let's give the lad a chance to show what he can do, which on a good day is plenty.

Welcome to the Spurs family, pal. All we ask is that you give 100% every game. Do that and we'll be in your corner.

COYS. That Top 4 and that FA Cup are ours!!!

Curious to see if Conte wants to turn Skipp into our progressive midfielder and is acquiring Bentancur to help pick up Skipps defensive duties.

Skipps offensive ability is still unknown. He has great passing ability and vision and can take a player on in midfield. His finishing ability and passing in the final 3rd is still to be determined.

Most stats show Skipp as fairly progressive for a defensive midfielder and the most progressive of the 4 we now have. Obviously tactics would force a defensive midfielder to play more cautiously than a creative one as it’s more dangerous to lose possession in that part of the field. Therefore, allowing Skipp some freedom could open up a side of his game we don’t get to see too often.

That is pretty risky if true. I think Skipp can show he can be a box to box in playing in a MF 3 ideally with a more attacking mid on the other side and someone in the middle doing the majority of the work, but not sure he can be the most attacking/progressive midfielder on a team, although as you say he likely will have to be considering the other options we have.

Hojberg is more useful upfield as well,
Skipp-Bentancur-Hoj is going to be as good a midfield engine unit as Spurs has had since the days of peak Wanyama

I think this has the potential to be a very good bit of business for us. I like that he is 6'1"/1.87m- gives us a bit of height in midfield that we haven't had for a while now. He seems at least as physically and technically gifted as PEH and Skipp, if not more, so I feel confident we'll at least have another option around their levels, if not higher.

Welcome to the club and wishing you the best in your time here, Rodrigo!
