Ex-Spurs Player Harry Winks

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Harry Winks believes that the exits of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli show that nobody is given a free pass during the Antonio Conte era at Tottenham.

Spurs shipped out all three midfielders - two of which were their record signings - alongside young winger Bryan Gil, who only joined the club six months ago for around £25m.

It was a sign to all of the players that nobody is safe under Conte and nobody can take their place at the club for granted.

"We always needed that. Everybody in football knows that," said Winks.

"Nobody is given a free pass - everybody is under pressure and under scrutiny.

"That is just part and parcel of football. I would not say it was a wake-up call. Everybody knows the high demands at a club like Tottenham and that you have to be performing."

Toxic as fuck. :llorishuh:

When he has his absolute best games, he looks a satisfactory midfielder (note I did not say excellent). But most of the time, on his average games, he has too little impact and makes too many mistakes. Really needs to be upgraded.

Mistakes happen…. When he’s not 100% on it, he takes easy options on the ball and it kills us. Ditto Hoj.

Take some fucking responsibility and pass the ball forward quickly…. Any ball into Kane gets held up as he’s so sharp at the moment so hit him. Recycling the ball back to our god awful centre backs should be option D, not A

I really wish he’d stop doing this sort of interview. Perhaps it’s contractual, but he always pipes up with words rather than actually playing well.

There’s a strange sense of entitlement about him. And it feels like he’s putting pressure on people through the media.

How do you know the day ends in the letter Y?

Because Tiddly has done another interview.

My highlight was his backhanded compliment about Skipp.

"another player who will definitely look to try and improve under the manager."

And I suppose another player who gets positive press lately is Romero. Winksy weighs in with a bit of a dig whilst talking himself up.

"I suppose it's down to him as he has the ability and has the capabilities of course," he revealed. "Everyone has that ability when you're playing at the top level to be that good.

But time to bring Cuti down a few notches.

"It's finding the consistency and staying fit, but he's a top player and I'm sure if he stays fit and continues to improve under the manager then there's a good chance."

He’s not the best or naturally gifted he’s been better and probably could do better but he’s never disrespected the club, like some other players have and yet they’ve been excusend!,,,, Nor disrespected the supporters, when he’s had ever reason to bite back cos I’m quite sure he’ll know what a minority think of him! he’s a Tottenham Hotspur player he should be supported & encouraged being negative towards him is not helping him or us.

Seriously.
