Ha ha I swear I thought of you when I put him on the list 😂

Tarks is no Bonucci, for sure, but I don't think he's as bad as some make him out to be. He can't pass or bring the ball out of defense the way even a Dier can...but he does work hard at the back and knows how to keep it tight, good tactically, never afraid to go in for a challenge, decent header of the ball, got great stamina...and at 29, he's got lots of PL experience and maturity. Plus he's HG.

So if we needed to bring in cover for Eric and Rom, someone who can pick up the load in a few PL games and also do a job in Cup comps, I think we could do a lot worse than Tarks, especially if - as per my fantasy - we could get him on loan. Looks like an upgrade on Rodon to me.

Why do you rate him as shit? What don't you like about him?
He's horrible mate( but thank you for having the intelligence to take my comments in the obviously light hearted jest they were meant). Tarkowski had a very brief high watermark about four years ago, even then he was sub good Eric Dier. He's slow too easily turned and has become oddly bad at marking from set peices -weird because that was a strength-. There's a reason why Burnley have struggled this season and he's part of it. He's the reincarnation of Ryan Shawcross who Spurs fans would talk about when at Stoke. Actually he was better than Tarkowski.
Oh and thanks because you have now set me and Spurs up for a VVD like performance against us tonight!!!😬

Most of our recent goals conceded when Dier was injured came from panic and stupid mistakes.
Tarkowski is solid and makes few mistakes. He's free in the summer.
In his IV yesterday Conte was literally talking about how important EPL experience is.
Absolutely ideal for us to come in when we have injuries and maybe more.
Oh, and I hope he has a 'mare tonight!

Ah I remember when he got an England call up and as soon as he came on the pitch Ibrahimovic scored a hat-trick.

Was that Steven Caulker. LOL ! But your point is illuminating Southgate took one look and that was that.

It was Hodgson at the time!

There was a huge call for him to be called up for ages too. English centre backs at the time weren't much good and he was having a decent period of time. I think those cries ended pretty quickly after he actually pulled on the England shirt!

(Remember Grant Holt for England too? Better days..)

If we signed Skriniar, we could play him in the centre of that CB trident and have Dier at LCB. I think Eric has the technical ability to play there, but yeah ideally we'd have a left-footed dude for that job.

Kessie, I don't think you've watched that much of him, cause he's more than a ball-winning MF. He has got a fair few goals for AC again this season and though I can't recall him getting an assist, he still links up play and creates danger in the opposition's box. He'll be free too, but I think he'll demand ridiculous wages and a mega signing-on fee. But I'd look elsewhere regardless, especially as he hasn't always shown a great attitude at Milan.

Belotti, again, I wonder how much you've seen of him. Cause he's really not a player for us, even to play second fiddle to Kane. He's had loads of injuries, incl 2 big ones this year. He's not fast, doesn't win that many duels, misses a fair few big chances, loses possession regularly. He's a good player, but he's Serie A mid-table, not wanna get top 4 and win trophies Spurs. He'd likely have a similar Spurs career to Vincent Janssen.

Sesko? If you're gonna go after a young, exciting forward with lots of upside but who's already got a fair bit of experience, you may as well go after someone like Adam Hložek.
Yeah, I don't watch Italian football, so you might be right about both Kessie and Belotti.
I just looked at their profiles and thought Kessie wouldn't fit in, while Belotti looked interesting.

As I mentioned, I don't think Sesko would be interested in a bench spot. I don't think Hlozek would be either. I think they're interesting players, however.

But it doesn't matter anyway. We're gonna bottle this season as usual. Kane will (rightfully) force a move. Levy won't spend any cash until he find some mediocre shit on deadline day, which will finally lead to - if it hasn't already happened at this point - Conte quitting our shit show of a club.

I think both Mee and Tarkowski are free agents at the end of the season. I’m not sure but I think there might be a 12 month option on Mee. Not sure how the Burnley management got to the place where they have more than half of the team out of contract at the end of the year including their central defense but there you have it.
I can take or leave Mee/Tarkowski, but we need to get Dwight McNeil.

He'd be a better LWB than we have at the club, and frankly better than Son in most aspects of the game. The boy has incredible heart, have him crossing to Son and Kane in the middle.

Tarkowski would probably be the best pure defender in our squad, if we signed him. So there is no way we would make such a sensible transfer. Why get a seasoned Premier League defender on a free when we can go and sign someone from Serie A to underwhelm us all and pay £20m-£40m for the privilege.

Their last owners were hanging out for a sale..... Then the new owners come in and it seems they were bullshitting when they spoke of wealth & investment.

Dyche works fucking miracles.

Tarkowski will play in every game for us.
He is a far better defender than anything we currently have including Romero

Kane is as good as gone in the summer, levy needs to assure Conte of a huge summer budget to build a team he desires post-kane. Else spurs will be Everton next season
