So I am I. Nuno, Gross, Santini, Sherwood, AVB, finished Jose. Yeh it’s better now with Paratici and hopefully Conte for the long term fingers crossed but our managers have been at best a very mixed bag.

Yet despite the many hit and miss managers during the vast majority of this period under ENIC we've actually improved year on year on the pitch.

Perhaps not year on year but over time, despite the non-linear path every club takes, we’ve made clear improvement.

Anyone who says we haven’t improved considerably on the pitch since Enic took over is so deluded they aren’t worth talking to. Or 15.

Chelsea had their debts written off because their owner was the subject of sanctions by the entire western world for his role in destabilising Russia and the global order. That’s not nothing - it’s the consequence of dirty money in football.

Your criticism is that the leadership put long term gains above short term gains but that is always the most rational course of action. It doesn’t help your emotions but it is the right thing to do. OR perhaps you are ignoring the fact that we were building a stadium? It’s hard to tell which from your post.

The perfect owners don’t exist - they’re a figment of your imagination. The best owners need to do it all and that’s not possible in the real world as it is.

ENIC cannot win or lose us trophies. That’s literally not their role. The only owners who can do that are those who have hundreds of millions to throw at the club over a few years. It is coaches and players who win trophies. ENIC’s role is to ensure the club is run well enough that the real can perform to a high level and that the team consistently progress over the long term. Our presence in many finals is evidence that we’ve had competitive teams. No club’s progress is linear over the long term. There are always ups and downs, even for corrupting influences like Man City, Chelsea and PSG!

We have become a far stronger club on and off the pitch over time under ENIC’s watch. That is clear and they deserve respect for that. Let’s push for more and better but to suggest ENIC are the problem is just lunacy.

Good point, actually made the same point here before, the club have been in 13 semi finals in the ENIC era, we've managed to win 1 trophy.

Clearly that tells you we've had the teams to win more than once, maybe people ought to look at the problem lower down as opposed to owners...

Yes, instead of looking at the owners, we should look at the people who the owners have consistently appointed.

If the people you've appointed fuck up that consistently for 20 years to the point where they've only been able to bring home a singular trophy, the one with the lowest value in top flight English football, then the people doing the employing should probably have a look in the mirror.
I think there’s enough successes in there, notably Jol, rednapp, Poch and conte. Thats great appointments for well over half the time.

OG poster used Sherwood as an example of bad hiring. He’s definitely <20.

Think it's too early to include Conte. Love the guy, love the early signs but hasn't had even half a season yet. We're loving life now but only semi recently he was talking about how he needed to talk to the club because he wasn't sure if he was the man to fix things.

We've had a few solid ones, and quite a few total duds. Following Jose up with Nuno after deciding against Gattusso was magnificent levels of incompetence. Then wanting Poch back having barely just sacked them was a delicious cherry on top of the fuck up cake.

Agree jose and nuno were bad appointments.

Taking conte out doesn’t materially affect the fact that well over half the time we’ve had great managers. Take 6 months off the numerator and denominator and they’ve still got a great track record.

Employees can fuck up?
What. Like 13 in a row?

Maybe there's nothing wrong with all these managers ability to do their job. Perhaps its the lack of backing and support they receive that's the real problem.?

Saha and Nelson for Redknapp in the midst of a title race.

One and a half year self imposed transfer embargo for Pochetinno after dragging his under invested squad into the top 4

3rd choice cheap alternatives like Rodon offered to Mourinho.

All of these guys are perfectly capable. It's having their hands tied by owners who's only motivation is the balance sheet and long term profit on their investment and fulfilling their stated ambition of landing an NFL franchise as they weigh the club down with debt.

Shocking, awful owners.

The fans of any other big 6 Club would be horrified at the prospect of an ENIC takeover

Is there a possibility of Enic buying a top 6 club?

Jol stepped up after Santini walked over broken promises , was not a well thought out strategic appointment . Redknapp he lucked out , he was a save us from relegation hire. Conte was a the fans are revolting , better throw useless Nuno under the bus hire
Of the names mentioned only Poch was a strategic planned hire in the way a top notch CEO should operate

I agree with that apart from the santini bit, I have no recollection of broken promises. His was a ridiculous appointment btw after the Trappatoni affair. I’m surprised more is not made of that by the anti Levy mob

Since 2007? They've been in charge since 01.

76% is surprising though, always thought it would be more but I just think that people like to make noise and moan for the sake of moaning when it comes to ENIC because its trendy.

Interesting that the avg league position has gone up (it would have been greater if they included the data from 01) yet people are telling me we haven't improved under their tenure, cool.
