Rodon wants to leave to get more games, if Lenglet is his replacement I think it's fine, since Rodon frees up a foreign spot anyway. I'm skeptic of someone who's generally described by Barca fans as "dogshit" as our starting LCB.

The top 2 are clearly better than the others, but may well be out of reach? Ekitike looks to have bundles of ability but is very raw. The other three are all flawed compromises, but at least tick the wide/CF, would be much cheaper than the top 2, all getable, can all play as 9's but can all play as wide FW too,

Thanks. Embolo is the only one i've seen and I'd defo take him for the right price, will have a look at the others.

Juve fans said the same about Kulu. Now that we've finally got a world class manager, who knows exactly what he wants and needs for each position, I'll take his opinion over any fan base.

If we're going to go really big on a player though, I'd want it to be a midfielder or RWB. Those are the positions I'd view as worth splurging for. I think we've seen with Davies that a competent player will be enough at LCB.

(As I said earlier, Bastoni the exception there because he's a very unique talent.)

My pie in the sky hope is that we’re secretly working on a deal to take Hakimi away from PSG.

Ridiculous club and presumably they need to evidence some sort of attempt at FFP.

It's a job that requires moving to a new country, and one where your work life will be considerable less "fun" if the boss man quits and more than that unlike a normal job you can't quit and get a new job, if the boss does.

Yeah, yeah footballers are pampered cunts, but that aside of course it's a major decision.

I was being pretty conservative in my hypothetical. Even if Perisic gets a 10m signing bonus, he's still be pretty cheap. We can get Bissouma for 30m, and lets say agents fees etc add another 10m. That's 50m for two players. We'd still have enough to get ourselves a Gvardiol or Perisic type mega expesive player, with just enoug left over for a RWB.

Of course we'd also free up a lot of wages with the sales too.

Peresic deal amounts to 180pkw allegedly.

We could ditch Winks, Rodon, Emerson & Giollini and still barely cover that wage vs wage.

In the next breath (eg):

SMS too.... That's probably another 200kpw?
Bissouma.... 100-150kpw?
Hakimi... 200kpw-ish
Eriksen..... 150-200kpw (would want a fat wage too being a free trf).....

If we spend 150m on 3 or 4 top players (whomever they may be); each will want top wages t'boot. We'd probably need the remaining 80m you cited from player sales to cover the wage/bonus hike.

Don't be surprised if Kane & Sonny and one or two others come looking for a payrise too.

I'm not writing anything off, but whilst the optimistic unknown aspect of our current situ is fun; as said above 150m isn't some magic fast-track to the top shelf of the trf market and a title challenge......

A whole load of that weight would still lay with a combo of 'Conte magic' and the existing squad members.
