Doherty was matching TAA for attacking output last season - him and Spence as options is pretty good imo

People are really blowing Doherty's good spell out of proportion and forgetting how gash he has been for the rest of his time here.

Because Bremer is a physical beast who is great at defending while Bastoni is elite on the ball and forward passing.
Conte wants Romero and Bastoni to be pushing up the pitch and getting involved in attacks while Dier hangs back. He also wants to play out the back more, and for that Bastoni is far superior to Bremer.

The way I’m reading our transfers I wonder if Conte’s interest in Spence is more to do with his English status than his ability to be an immediate starter. He will be happy on the bench but also ticks a box for European competition at a relatively low cost. This frees up more money for starting 11 purchases thinking out loud I think all of our English (nationals) purchases will be cheap and won’t be starters such as Foster. Let’s see I hope I'm wrong because I would LOVE Philips from Leeds.
