Well, you're Liverpool stats seem to have ignored Diaz and Nunes as far as I can see. You know, the £130m or so outlay in 2022 Vs ours that would put them ahead of us. And there's still 2 months of this window to go....
Liverpool spent the Coutinho money superbly. Then when they knew they had a top manager who needed that extra bit of quality they bought the best keeper and centre back money could buy. Compare and contrast to Poch who was only backed when the team was falling apart and he was exhausted with it all. We're lucky to have another chance so soon and we cant mess up again.

Bellend yes and its a useful trait. Overpriced maybe.

Laying on the floor for too long isn't a useful trait. It's actually embarrassing for everyone involved.
Exaggerating contact and going over is one thing. But staying down and pretending you're horribly injured is something I think every football fan would like to see completely removed from the game.
I don't want to see it. It does nothing to the opposition. It gains nothing. All it does it break the game up in a bad way for both teams and the fans.
£60m is a hella lot of money for a rotation player.

I think you're last sentence is the relevant one.

There really is no need to double down you know.
With all transfer windows that are completed our net spend is higher than theirs. This includes the year of no spend.

This is an undeniable fact, and yet you refuse to recognise it.

Their net spend this window so far?
£40m.
Our net spend;
£20m

Diaz is included in the 2021/22 window.
So you're wrong on that as well.
Ne'mind.

"And there's still 2 months of the window to go"

I'm more than confident that we will spend more.

Since when and for what is being a bellend a useful trait

Lamela used to do all that and as a fan I appreciated that. Someone thats a nuisance to the other team ..well i think its a useful trait. Football doesnt have to be nicey nicey.

So no one is right or wrong yet because, although we have done some early business, if it ended now, it would be a disappointing window. So absolutely no one should be changing their mind yet about Levy.

Eh ?

You're wrong in saying that our net spend is/was lower than the Dippers.

You're wrong in saying that I excluded the Diaz money.

But nobodies wrong.
Ok.

And I really like Gordon.. has great physicality, attitude, good at running with the ball. Again, I doubt he leaves Everton, but that would just be a wild overpayment to get in a homegrown player.
Edit: maybe his name being released as a ploy to knock a few £'s off the Spence deal, as if we're happy to look elsewhere to fill hg quota.

Whoever we end up with from Everton, fat Frank won't be buying any player until he makes room and reduces their wage bill.

He is fucked regarding FFP.

It's not been bad. Forster for Gollini free for free for no real benefit other than HG quota. We had that before Gollini.... Peresic is a great player who will do us well for a year or 2. Again, on a free. No bargaining. No negotiating. There's plenty of examples over the years where free transfers or players with buyout clauses get done quickly. Bissouma is the highlight so far but even that isn't mega. £25m+ add ons is not a statement signing financially.

We've had substantially more champions league football than Woolwich and Leicester and yet they don't seem to act like they have no money?
When Klopp took over Liverpool they were generally behind us but they gave him whatever he wanted.
Pochettino had taken us from 5th/6th to 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and still barely gave him what he wanted.
He blatently saw Poch work wonders with what he had and figured he could carry it on. (and no, I don't rate Poch as a scout either before you say it)
Levy this time last summer had just made the worst managerial appointment of his 20 year reign and everyone knew it. Everyone where they tried to kid themselves or not, knew it was bad for the club.
He now knows that if Conte walks he has nowhere to go. He cannot pull any of his shit. We will never get an elite coach again if this goes belly up. They'll all laugh if Levy calls.
When Klopp took over Liverpool they were behind us in the standings, but by no means financially. And when we were financially able to spend, we fucking spent. The difference between us and Pool was that Pool's scouting was miles ahead of ours. So they got players that improved them, whereas we just pissed money away.

And Pool was also not afraid to sell its best players, something that for us was the third rail. Which is why Leicester signed players like Maddison and McGuire. Why would they come to us to sit on the bench? But sell an Eriksen for 60m and get a Maddison, sell a Dele for 50m and get a Grealish and things would look quite different. And we would have money left over to further strengthen. As for Woolwich, let's not even go there. Sure they spent like drunken sailors, but if your assessment of good transfer business is how much a team spends, then you haven't been following football for too long.

The most important thing is to make shrewd signings. Signings like Son, and Toby, and Bissouma. I couldn't care less if they cost a bag of chips and a peanut butter sandwich. What's important is whether we have done or due diligence on them and they fit our system. In some cases it will take 50+ million to get such a player. In other cases it won't. And in every case it will also take the player wanting to join us. Which can be overcome by throwing wads of cash at him, but then we would end up like United, only without the financial muscle that United has.

But hey, keep insisting on this tired "pay the fucking fee, Levy, you tight bald cunt" narrative. Just look around to see who else pays the fucking fee. It's not as many teams as you think and, even the ones that do, do so very rarely. Yet you want us to do it all the time. A bit detached from reality, innit?

Ok.

The "nobodies wrong" comment is purely in reference to the entire point of this debate - that it is far too early to forgive Levy for years of under investment, stingeyness, poor decisions, money saving, money making etc etc. It's far too early to call that and Spurs fans who dislike Levy aren't suddenly going to lick his balls because we have 2 free signings and a (very good) £25m player.

I would actually attribute the earliness of these deals to Paratici anyway.

So far Bissouma will be a fucking star! Perisic..I dont know how good a 33 year old be in the PL. And forster will not play many games. Based on the time thats passed so far in this window, its a good start. We still need to get a decent RB , LCB and the ever elusive second striker! Next season starts on August 6. So we still have over a month left to prepare.
