Saying it's a been a good window so far is like trusting a serial killer who hasn't hacked a girls head off for a few weeks. It's gonna take a lot more over a much longer period before anyone believes there's been an actual change.
I'm usually wrong, I know, but haven't we bought only one player so far? The rest on freebies and bent and Kulu yet to be paid far? Forget all the disagrees.
I'm not stating this as a fact because I'm not as itk as others but tell where I'm wrong so I can see the proverbial light.
It's confusing for an old guy.....

Man's gonna boil so much piss. Rival fans get salty at our players when they don't even deserve it, but this absolute shitlord....

It will be Levy 60 million...so 41m with the rest contigent on Daniel getting a three some with Beyonce, Ana De Armas and Dakota Johnson. Shit way beyond Bill kenwrights elf magic.

That's a foursome. Levy would end up going home and tugging one out on his own having negotiated a threesome only to try for four at the last minute and lose the whole deal.

For those balking at the 60m price tag (though I'm not sure if that's euros, pounds with add ons included, etc) just remember that the blue scousers spunked £50m to buy him in the first place.

Given that he's not depreciated (Tanguy says hello) and prices are even crazier now than 2018, it's not an insane price.

Raphinha for £65m is crazier IMO.

It's not our fault they overpaid back then. We overpaid for TND and GLC and almost all of us would take considerably less than we paid to get rid ASAP.
Appreciate our two are unwanted and Richarlison is their best player, but they definitely over paid so that shouldn't be the bar with which to value him.

People are getting well ahead with themselves in thinking the majority of fans owe Levy an apology. He has a lot of work to do to get trust from any of us.
If he spent every penny of this £150m this summer we'd still have one eye on what he does next summer and summer after.
Edit - and we'd still wonder what happened to transfer sales money and CL revenue.

It doesnt have to be 10. 6 or 7 new players would have been fine but with at least 4 of those improving the first team from day 1. We might still do that but if its Lenglet and Spence to fill those 2 roles then it doesn't. Not to say that they might not come good but it will take time and coaching. I doubt Liverpool and City would be looking at that and thinking we're a theat which is what i'd hoped we might be looking at.

I think one of the criteria this transfer window was to find an alternate to Ben Davies due to number of games being played - and if the 2 top candidates are not available and Conte not overwhelmed by candidates 3 downwards, then Lenglet on a loan (ie minimise risk) is a reasonable 'fix' if Conte thinks he can get him playing at his best. If Lenglet doesn't work out as well as hoped he goes back to Barcelona next summer when we hope our top LWB choices are available.

RWB is an issue - very few good candidates available, even the optimistic talent hunters on TFC are struggling for names, and the likes of TAA and Reece |James are not for sale. So Spence is one who can play now but very much one for the future ....... is my take on why we want him...... and it helps he is HG as we have spare HG positions. Ideal, no. Pragmatic, yes

Recently my neighbour had been moaning about the rise in his energy bill's. It went up £1740 per annum. Met him yesterday he said "I just opened an envelope and it was £150! Best country in the world this good ole Boris" so I said

"The Italian and French states have capped energy rises to a 5% increase." He said....
"Good ole Boris"

I don't know why it just brought to mind that exchange you had. People are intresting ...

:mourweird:
Bet he thinks Trump is great too....! And his bill is still up 1590...good ole boris!

Is it just me that thinks this is the spitting image of Tony Adams?

I'm really not sure a bad dance to celebrate maybe 10 goals a season is worth £60m lol.

Watford would be well within their rights to take the mater further. Everton aren't going to just get around the sell on clause. The best they can do is claim it's 10% of the cash value of Richarlison. IE 10% of what we pay in addition to a player exchange.
Everton need money. Them swapping us for 2 or 3 players doesn't help them at the moment. So it's looking like roughly £40m + Winks. Watford would be totally within their rights to say Winks, a HG player with x amount of years on his contract, is worth enough money to push Richarlison into the sell on trigger.

The worst case (for Everton) is that Watford prove Winks is worth a silly amount of money.

If Everton weren't struggling with money, we could have swapped them Winks, Bergwjin and Rodon and they might have managed to get away with it as they never actually "sold" Richarlison.

Years of Levy have turned our fans into absolute skinflints.

Who gives a shit if we overpay by a few million, the club have the money and it's not coming out of our pocket.

If the end result is Conte get's a player he wants then I am game.

Do you think any of the "big" clubs fans all sit around whining that they overpaid by £10m or so?
