That might be true but that or more of an us issue. Clubs that generally spend more win more. We just need to make sure our scouting is better and closer to Liverpool than Man United.
I dont know if that's a fair stereotype. Dani Alves, Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Fernandino are a few that I can think of just off the top of my head that were great well into their 30's.
To be fair he would be a good signing for them. Him and Bergwijn are good players.

North-East London based Boro fan in peace.
Obviously the Spence deal is really important to us and we need to get it done too and I agree that I think there is a bit posturing between two similar minded people in Levy and Gibson, so fingers crossed it gets done as our bigger bits of summer business depend on this sale.
Spence is really not well thought of in the town or at the club and it's pretty mutual so we don't think this will go on into next week with Spence potentially having to report to pre-season training.
I believe the reason that Forest were quoted slightly less than Spurs for this deal is due to the fact that we rinsed them a bit in January for a new loan fee after threatening to recall him. I think putting that loan fee on top of what Forest was quoted brings it to the same amount. I know that there are a few holes in that logic but that's what the word is from the Boro end.
Anyway, think you guys are heading in the right direction under Conte and I think you are doing some really good business in the last 6-12 months.

I think the belligerence can be useful but I hope that if we get him in Conte can have him remove the play acting from his game. I’m sure he does draw proper fouls but the over acting is annoying at best
I suspect Raphina is still hoping Barcelona offload a few players to free up both wages and get fees in such that they have the ability to sign him - they still have 3 'freebies' which Spanish FA are refusing to register until they free up enough wages etc to allow them to be registered. So Raphina could find himself in a queue.......
Whilst I don't see Spurs throwing more money at players than they need, I suspect one or two more decent players (including maybe Raphina) could still be signed this window as I suspect money can be found ...... if the right players are available (might need to watch HG numbers though as well).
