This would most likely mean that Atleti are no longer interested in Emerson...

How much piss could an XI with them in boil?

???At the end of the day, even Levy must have realized that doing the same thing over and over again just wasn't working.
I think this window would have come earlier had we not made the CL final. I think Levy looked at that achievement and thought we could limit buying and repeat.
Obviously the new stadium has brought in financial rewards well beyond even what he thought, but overall it needed someone like Conte (and i think Jose as well) to tell him that he needed a complete change of mindset in order to take the club to the next level.
Finally Paratici would never had joined the club just to become an Italian Steve Hitchen.
The pain of transfer windows past will now be a thing of the past, and thank fuck for that.
As long as we can reliably spend this much each season and not just blow our load this year because of the cash injection (which likely won’t be every year). The club is now on a different trajectory, delayed due to COVID. Its now not a question of fighting for top 4 but cementing that position, aiming higher and finally for silverwear.
The club is thinking and acting differently, now the fans need to get in that mindset too![]()
This season may see more action than next in terms of player capital but we will spend what is neededAs long as we can reliably spend this much each season and not just blow our load this year because of the cash injection (which likely won’t be every year).
Romero and Bissouma are going snap those lightweights in half.I’m sure Conté is going to be more than happy to play against a team with Ronaldo, Bruno and Eriksen in it.
Maddison is better now than Eriksen, and has many more years of top level play in him.FWIW, I think going balls deep for Maddison and passing on Eriksen is the kind of thing a cutthroat, smart club would do rather than leaning on sentiment.
We'd suddenly have a perfect player to make us sing with a 3-5-2 which would be doubly useful either to set up against particular (defensive?) teams from the off or change a game (tough cup match?) via a plan B when things aren't going as expected.
I wouldn't want to play us.

And the home grown factor, which we need to keep an eye on with Winks definitely on the off somewhere (possibly Leicester, which would make the whole exchange make a lot of sense too).A midfield of Bissouma, one of Bentancur/PEH/Skipp and Maddison if we played 352 is one of the very best in the league easily.
Bissouma was one of the best 6’s last season and Maddison is one of the best AM’s in the league. It would just leave a World class CB to complete the team.
But does that same 'cutthroat club' have time for a twat?Maddison is better now than Eriksen, and has many more years of top level play in him.
Eriksen makes more sense on a sentimental level, while Maddison has been a twat in the past, but as you say a cutthroat club has no time for sentimentality.
Also Woolwich are a rival for them trying to get Europa next season so theyd rather sell to us.Sounds like Leicester need to raise money
Woolwich bids for Tielseman now circa 20m versus 40m Leicester wanted. So now Leicester need to price other players 'to go' , hence our renewed interest in Maddison 'at the right price'
Conte training regime will humble him.But does a 'cutthroat club' have time for a twat?
(Albeit in the past.... Leopard/Spots/etc.)
