Bale Madrid... it's Real!

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Real Madrid have made two different offers for Wales winger Gareth Bale and are waiting to see if Tottenham Hotspur will accept either one.
The first offer is €100m (£86m) with structured payments over three to four years, which would surpass the world record fee Real paid Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo (£80m).
The other is an up-front, one-off payment which will be closer to £70m.
A player could also be thrown in as a makeweight in the second deal.
And if that happened it would also make that deal more valuable than the one Real paid United for Portugal winger Ronaldo in 2009.
Wales international Bale, 24, is determined to join the Spanish club, who have been in advanced talks with Spurs for several weeks.
If there is no announcement on Saturday it is unlikely there will be one until Tuesday because of the away match Real are playing on Monday night against Granada in the Spanish top flight, La Liga.
The plan remains to unveil Bale in the middle of next week, but this now depends on Spurs.

RE: bbc article

@danroan: ..say if Spurs don't accept by end of today unlikely to be announcement until Tuesday after RM away match v Granada.

Im failing to see what announcement there is to make if we reject both offers.

Lazy journalism

I think people are overstating Ronaldo's displeasure at the signing, of it happens. From all I've ever heard, he's not as arrogant as he makes out on the pitch and is in fact a fairly nice bloke. He's still a better player than bale, and no priciest will change that. He'll likely still ear more too. The only people I can see who wouldn't like the move are the likes of Di Maria, as well as those who would earn less than him.
always got the feeling tho, that Ronaldo really really needs to feel like daddies special little boy. Not having the world record fee may well put his nose out of joint, especially as most of his headlines in his time in spain have been overshowed by Messi's acxhievements

Ozil won't happen if anyone it'll be Coentrao who would be a great addition
Im not suggesting Ozil will happen, but the sentence:

"70 million & Ozil, or no deal. You best explain to Ozil how important he is to this deal, Mr Perez. I'm happy to keep Gareth and sell him to Barca for less in a years time" could have an effect.
COULD, cos I think Ozil would be a no go.

I like how they reporting it as Real Madrid are giving us two options....like we have to accept one.

Also, anyone actually believe Bale is injured? I dont for one second. Should be picked like we did Modric.

It's going to be like the time I said we'd lose 4-1 to Inter in the second leg. Promise.

Yes, lets keep Bale and sign Lamela, then go with a front three of Bale - Soldado - Lamela.

If that happens, we should all spunk into a jar and send it to Daniel Levy, im sure he'd like to know his efforts are being appreciated.
