Spence is an interesting one. RWB was a priority position to upgrade, but ultimately we've gone for a player with one good season in the Championship. And now Conte is even talking about Lucas at RWB. Which suggests he's still looking for solutions.

I'm still surprised we didn't go for someone more experienced, like Dumfries at Inter, or Dest at Barca. As close to a Perisic level player on the right as possible. But I guess you have to trust Conte, the 'wing back whisperer'.

If Spence doesn't hit the ground running, I'd imagine Doherty is next in line, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Perisic at RWB and Sess on the left for some games.

I think RWB is a specialist position and we got who we set out to get. I can't imagine Conte not approving any signing presently.

He looks really exciting and I'm looking forward to getting out of my seat to cheer him on.
