I don't think that is true at all, quite the opposite. Chelsea and Woolwich are struggling to offload the players they don't want, as are Man U.

Yeah it used to be the case that these teams would be offloading their deadwood easily, but right now most clubs outside of England seem pretty broke other than the big boys. Selling to a Villareal or a Sevilla now isn't easy, they have no money.

And the market for players like Lo Celso, Reguilon etc just doesn't exist inside England. And I doubt these players even want to move to English clubs.

I just think it funny that a few years ago the media (and quite a large proportion of our fans) used to pan the club for not paying our players enough (when I always said we were paying ours right, it was the other clubs who were paying the players too much) and now that we do pay our players the going rate, it is that, that is stopping us being able to move them on!

We'll probably be able to sell GLC/Reguilon, but like I said it won't be for significant fees as the clubs interested are poor. Just gonna have to take the hit. The big wages we gave Ndombele have definitely hurt us though, we'd struggle to pay clubs to take him on.

Yeah agree, what I said yesterday-

Pre season squad or not, La Liga is a broke league & nobody wants these two players outside of La Liga. It won't matter how much you put them in the shop window if Sevilla/Villareal are still scrabbling behind the sofa for pennies.

You *might* be able to get a hint of interest from Barca for someone like Reguilon but there's no way they're wasting a big fee on it regardless, it'll be loan with an option just like with Adama, and unless he excels they've got no intention of buying.

The Traore debacle from last season just goes to show how little 90% of football fans actually know or understand and they just watch the football of their team and nothing else, but talk talk talk anyway.

There were fans all over social media and on forums insisting he was a better option than Kulusevski.

You can tell these people haven't watched those of which they speak, but are just incapable of holding their tongue, they simply have to have their nonsense heard. Because, anyone who had watched Traore knew he is pretty poor, and anyone who'd watched Kulu knew he was pretty good.

Yet, Kulu was dismissed as a second rate transfer. Not that they'd ever admit to misjudgment, of course.
