Cant see Chalobah happening. I think any chance of better relations with Chelsea post Abramovich ended on Sunday and why would he leave Chelsea because he's 6th choice centre back to come to us where he'd be 6th choice. He's a bit better than Tanganga but hardly worth all the hassle.

I'd say more than a bit better but I agree he has no guarantees of first-team football here either so would seem a strange move for him to make.

Also still seems fantasy to imagine us doing any business with Chelsea, even post Abramovich.

Average is easily skewed by a few players..the right metric is to look at the "median"

Probably discussed behind the scenes but if not another one not picked up by itk

story originated from the journo covering Chelsea at Standard, not the journo covering Spurs

Player has over 100 games experience on loan at championship level plus about 20 appearances for Chelsea - first broke through into first team when Conte was manager of Chelsea.

Contract until 2025 or 2026, moving through lack of game time, maybe he'd work his way up at Spurs maybe he wouldn't - not convinced he'd do much better than at Chelsea ? Same age as Tanganga who has some 40 appearances at Spurs , but never been allowed out on loan so hasn't developed.

50 million you sell Hojbjerg automatically. Thanks and goodbye. I'm not one of his 'haters' and think he generally does a solid job, but we have two solid midfielders already, both of which offer quite similar attributes.

I imagine it's all horseshit though, so hey ho..
There is no point selling unless he can be replaced, at this late stage I wouldn't fancy our chances.

The club earns staggering amounts & they're in a horrible place on the field so big investments make perfect sense, it's just (obviously) about getting them right .. which they haven't in the past. Seems they're putting a lot of hope & faith in to Ten Haag and time will tell if it's the right choice.
At some point, however, if they keep finishing outside the top 6, they won't be as attractive a proposition for players and new fans and the revenue streams will start shrinking. They won't have money forever.
