There’s no point in signing players who are good but don’t belong in a conte setup. I think that’s the reason Eriksen didn’t sign.
Pretty much so.
But everyone on here's an expert mostly. Wasted away behind a keyboard and not in the Spurs backroom.

Rich looked a bit poor at RW for Everton, but Sonny is 2 footed and Zaha has RW experience so I see the point you two are making.
I’d be happy with this transfer as it adds some X factor, but does depend a bit on Zaha’s attitude, would he be happy with being a rotation option?
Jesus, you disagrees with him not beeing HG in Europe and that your argument. Wheres your logic?
But maybe he doesn’t see it as useful for this Spurs squad.Conte played a 3-4-3 at Chelsea too & had Fabregas in the squad who scored 5 & assisted 12 in the league when they won the title.
Myth he doesn’t utilise creative midfielders needs to die.

He passed up on Eriksen and apparently vetoed Maddison.

I'm a fan of his. But if we were going to make this move, it should've been a couple seasons ago.
No but there’s levels to it.Zaha doesn’t belong at a top 6 club if he won’t fight for his place. If he wants to start no question he should never leave Palace.

He does utilize. But much less than atraditional box to box like he loves to do. And fabregas was the 12th Chelsea player. Not a starter. Oh and fabregas was still very good. If we had a guy like him he would play. But I don’t think he would necessary buy a fabregas.Conte played a 3-4-3 at Chelsea too & had Fabregas in the squad who scored 5 & assisted 12 in the league when they won the title.

Paul Okeefe said it was Conte who vetoed Maddison while others at Spurs were keen. That makes it unlikely to be a financial issue. His attitude has also been good recently.Do we know he ‘passed up’ on Eriksen? Him personally? Or were his wage demands just out of line with the clubs philosophy? That feels more likely.
Him passing on Maddison makes sense, to be honest. He’s very good but has well covered attitude issues & would’ve cost the world to bring in.
No but there’s levels to it.
We already have a 60m back up on the wing, and our current front 3 are class.
He’d arguably get more game time at any other club in the world bar maybe Liverpool. He’s certainly start more at City, Chelsea, Woolwich etc.
Difference between being a rotation option competing with 1 player compared to competing with 2 players.
Agree with this assessment. He wants Zaniolo and also Gordon. Conte seems to be going for very hard physical players, add to the set piece coach we have brought in and it’s clear power and speed are the main factors at the moment.

5 players for 3 spots doesn’t sound too bad, but when you consider how good our front 3 are and Rich’s potential; it’s quite a barrier.5 players into 3 spots with tons of games. He will get lots of game time if he came, he would get more games at say Chelsea for sure but our fixtures are crazy and 3 spots is a lot of places to compete for if you are good enough.

What is the point bringing them in for WB role. We already 2 mediocre rwbs in royal and Doh with silence untried. I’d rather give spence a go than convert Adama or janes. We were supposed to upgrading the WBs not down grading. We are filling our squad with mediocre players. Fock just keep Gil and give him the chance to develop with the first team squad. Said it many a time why buy him then loan him to only then bring a replacement who is no better? He has 10 goals and 12 assists in 5877 minutes of Prem football since he signed for United. A goal or assist every 3 games.
Over the same period, Traore has 8 goals and 13 assists in 7,210 minutes. So a goal or assist every 3.8 games.
There actually isn't too much in it. However Traore has 1 goal and 0 assists in his last 26 prem games.
Both links don't really make sense as neither would be brought in to play as wing depth, but likely at wing back.
Neither are good enough to be here.
