Match Nottingham Forest VS Tottenham Hotspur. Sunday the 28th August 2022. City Ground 16:30

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

With loads of games coming up, we could not have asked for a better game.
Watch the opponent run around like headless chickens and win whilst in 2nd gear and training mode.

They were like one of them silly yappy little dogs, Desperate to be big but eveyone can stand back and laugh at their pathetic attempts at trying to be scary.

We won without breaking a sweat and kept plenty in the tank for midweek.

The crowd were exactly as i'd expect for a lower league club. Whinging and moaning at everything and getting excited when they won a throw-in
They are not premier league and just another club to make up the 20.
Thanks for a training session and easy three points.

There was absolutely nothing 'career ending' about the tackle whatsoever. It was so not career ending that the referee gave a yellow instead of a red.

He took him out in a non dangerous but painful way. There's no need to wet yourself over it.
You're the one advocating a bit of afters for someone hurting your feelings by showing a bit of skill you wuss.

"Ooohhhh he upset me by doing a keepie uppy......."

The way you handle that is by being better than the player showing off..... Not by just scything him down.

No. If someone shows ability, then you should do your best to show that you have more ability. Fouling them in that way is like swiping the board game across the room because you're losing - it demonstrates pathetically weak character, not to mention far more 'lack of respect' than they were allegedly showing you.

Reminds me of Ronnie O'Sullivan once taking the six colours with his left hand, only for Alain Robidoux to complain afterwards in the press conference that it was disrespectful. O'Sullivan's response? "Maybe he should spend less time in press conferences and more time on the practice table, then he could do it too". Bang on.

Yeah try doing that against Sergio Ramos or John Terry or Nesta, see how they react. Do they have pathetically weak characters, or are they just competitors who know that you can't start letting attacking players showboat or 'express themselves' when your job is to stop them.

Dunno why our fans are crying over this. The defender didn't two foot him or try and break his legs, he just stopped him. You see worse tackles every single game at any level, this isn't fucking netball for god sake.

I haven't 'advocated' shit lmaoooo, I've said I understand what he did & would expect most defenders to do the fucking same. Because they would, whether it hurts your little feelings or not. Do you think Romero would stand by and let an attacker do keepy uppies while he watches? Get a grip.

People celebrate Romero flying in to tackles or dragging someone down by their hair every week, but this was too much? Richarlison literally put Thiago out for months last season with a horrid tackle, I'm sure he can take being kicked when doing keepy uppies.

Yeah, but the constant moaning about Spurs AND him touching himself obscenely when looking at the FAC final pic with himself and David James in white suites, well, that kind should have alarmed her, don't you think?
Like I said, might not have noticed.

If you do that in a Sunday league game the opposition will fly through you, let alone at a professional level.

It’s not even a football thing. You pose in cricket, you’ll get a barrage of short stuff. You preen when scoring a try, you’ll get hit immediately after.

Just the way it goes.

And could you imagine what Romero would do???

Erm..... I think it's you with the butt hurt pride by a player doing some keepie uppys.

You keep defending the opposition though - whatever floats your boat.

I just don't understand the mentality of Joe Public. A guy is doing some football skills on a football pitch, the exact thing that we're all paying to watch, and some people want him hurt for it because it's 'disrespectful'? What does that end? Should players only score tap-ins from now on because screamers are disrespectful? Should nut-megs and backheels be fouls? He was doing some keepy-uppies, just as we all wanted to do when we were 4 years old, fell in love with the game, and celebrated when we were finally able to do 10 / 50 / 100 / 1000 (adjust according to personal skill level ;) ) of them without the ball touching the ground. That is absolute grass roots football. Yet he deserves to be hurt for it? What the fuck is wrong with people?
I wouldn't even try to get in the head of other teams supporters, they will say the complete opposite just because they feel like it.

WTF????..

You'd expect one of our players to put in a potentially career ending challenge on a fellow professional.... Just because they hurt your feelings with a bit of keepie uppy???

Jesus Christ...... What a bunch of wankers the world has become.

I thought it deserved a red

But Powson…….

Depends what Ramos / Terry / Nesta do - if they do something deserving of a red card, then they get a red card, irrespective of whether or not the skilful player was 'trying to wind them up' - the latter, when expressed with the ball, is not a foul. Also, it's not as if he was show-boating towards a particular player, or towards the penalty area to score a goal - there was nothing that needed 'stopping'.

I don't have any real problem with what the defender did, it wasn't horrific - it's a yellow card, nothing more. I do however have a problem with cunts like Carragher (and people on here...) condoning it, saying that Richi is actually the one in the wrong (!) - and much of Joe Public agreeing. Let's be clear - it's NOT a foul to do some keepy-uppies or whatever. It IS a foul to attack a player for it. Anyone who doesn't like that, go on the pitch and learn some skills of your own. Fucking Neanderthals.
